A medium dry cider made from a blend of apple varieties. Mostly bottled but also available on draught in the Wetherspoons Spring 2010 festival at 4.9%

Legend has it that every night, under the cover of darkness, a wily old fox crept out of his den at the bottom of our orchard and tiptoed his way to the cider store to help himself to fresh supplies.
It’s understandable though, once they have a taste, most people can’t get enough of this rather distinctive Somerset cider.

Orang to yellow gold in colour with aromas of candy sugar, apple chews and blossom. Flavours closely mirror the aroma description with lovely sherbety carbonation. I’m not as big a fan of this as I am the Cox’s from the same cidery but still a fan.

Clear gold color with visible carbonation and instantly disappearing white foam. Aromas of fermented fruits like apple followed by light notes of dry cork. Palate, medium body smooth texture leaving a dry finish. Taste, very lightly sweet of apples, fairly natural tasting of apple cider. Overall, not bad, medium dry cider, with fairly low carbonation (although on initial pour looks like it will be like soda) fairly natural tasting. Awesome!

Can sample at a tasting at Lior D’s place. Thanks Tom L. Clear gold with a white head. Sweet, sugary and cidery aroma, sweet, apple-ish taste - nice. Medium body, fizzy, long, sweet finish. Nice.

Bottle at the Toby Carvery. Appearance - golden amber with busy bubbles. Nose - dry apple and apple skin. Taste - sweet luscious apples. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - decent cider! Even though it’s medium it’s definitely dry enough to refresh.

Bottle, 500ml. *** Colour: Bright, yellow golden. Small head. *** Nose: Ripe apples, a hint of pears. Mild lemon. *** Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied, a bit watery. Active carbonation. *** Taste: Medium-sweet apples, lemon at the start. Drier towards the middle, with slightly bitter apple peel. Mild finish, apple peel and chalk(?). Short aftertaste of lemon and faint apples. *** Impressions: Decent, unremarkable Thatchers cider, not fruity enough to truly register. Standard stuff.

Bottle from the Spar in Wedmore. Golden and lightly spritzy. Just on the dry side of medium sweet, with aromas of eating apples and a full flavour.
