Bottle. Pours medium brown with tan head. On the nose aromas of grapefruit, dark coffee, earth, hay, cocoa. On the palate the grapefruit/citrus arrives first, quickly followed by the roasty/earthy/hay plus some smoke on the midpalate, and finishing with more of the citrus and some cocoa. Overall medium bodied , balanced and dry on the finish, another classic example of the Stone house style. An interesting, balanced effort papajohn (1250) - San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA - JAN 9, 2012
12 oz. bottle from Baron’s Market Place RB: Dark, dark brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is hoppy grapefruit with light pine notes. Flavor starts with some sharp stout like bitterness followed by lots of citrus and a lingering dry orange rind finish. Medium body is velvety with moderate carbonation. jlieber17 (201) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Bottle. Pours darkish brown with small tan head. Aroma is quite hoppy, mostly citrus. Some sweet, roasty aromas linger in later. Flavor is predominately pine and grapefruit, but is a bit muddled with the roasty efforts. Smooth finish; easy drinker. JohnnyJ (5570) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Clear medium dark brown pour with a tan head. Grapefruit, tropical fruit, piney hops, roasted malt, and light toasted bread. I like it, pretty dry and hoppy. smith4498 (3649) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - JAN 8, 2012

I forget the exact color, nice medium coarseness tan head. Aroma is a blast of citrus, orange, lemon, bit of pineapple (wow), light body, smooth, not prickly, mild grapefruit and pine sap, moderate-to-huge smooth bitterness, touch of clean grain, not very sweet, only a touch of bark. troopie (2351) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - JAN 7, 2012
Bottle. Chernozem black/brown with medium tan head. Much lacing. Sprucey and piney hop aroma. Full bodied, hoppy with a nice roast malt tinge. Hop finish. Worth seeking out. User29624 (1683) - - JAN 7, 2012

Dark mahogany with big, foamy, beige head / Big nose of weed and dirt (like a good bag of pot) / Light body, crisp with a hint of sweetness, with big hops and long finish / Bright, elegant, flavors of weed, pineapple, orange, cut pine, and a hint of chocolate / Great, great. cubs (10639) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 6, 2012
Bottle @ home. Fairly cloudy, deep brown appearance with a light brown head that dissipates pretty quickly leaving a few large bubbles. Super piney, ganja, very resiny hoppy, roasted dark malty aroma. Huge resiny, piney hoppy, sitcky, organic, roasty dark chocolate malty flavor. Resiny, roasty aftertaste. Really a big resiny, ganja flavored black IPA. I may be picking up some more of this, though it is a little pricey for a single 12 oz.
