DSG (14764) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 12, 2012
Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks eyes_wide_shut and YK23. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of lovely fruity and "green" hops and some roasty notes. Flavor has some sweetish maltiness, slightly roasty, with nice bitter fruity and piney hops. Medium-bodied. Very nice.

Bottle at Petrol Station. Pours a cloudy brown with a small frothy off white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hops and hemp. Thin mouthfeel with a very strong hop and grass with long lingering dry finish. A very good black IPA from The Alchemist.

Tmoney99 (14455) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 14, 2012
Bottle. Poured dark brown color with a large frothy brown head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Heavy complex toasted earthy citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation with small particles. Heavy bittersweet flavor with a heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good complex beer.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large dense creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of herbal hops, faint roast and nutty notes. The taste is bitter herbal hops, citrus and tropical notes along with an asian vibe and tart malts. Medium bodied. Interesting.

Dogbrick (13006) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 23, 2012
This brew pours dark brown with hints of ruby around the edges and a medium beige head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and piney hops. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, citrus and toasted malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering grapefruit aftertaste. Solid Black IPA all around.

crossovert (12874) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 12, 2012
12 oz bottle. It pours a murky pond water brown with tons of floaties and a fluffy light brownish-tan head. The smell is slightly roasty with some cocoa, there is a hint of tropical fruit. Not really a prime-time combo. The flavor is pretty bitter which helps it. There is a fair amount of cocoa and roastiness. The hops aren’t as apparent in the flavor besides the bitterness. There is a slight bit of fruit but it is subtle. It really tastes more like a porter with a ton of bittering hops more than anything, not really an IPA at all and not bad. If they just got rid of the aroma hops in this one it would be pretty good.

3.8
hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 14, 2012
12oz bottle. Brown pour with a large sized off white head. Pine, caramel and roasty aromas. Pine, roast, chocolate, some caramel, and some earth in the tastes.
