Collaboration with Portsmouth Brewery. A strong, rediculously hoppy, imperial milk stout - very dark and scrumptious.

(Rating #4460)

On tap at the 20th Vermont Brewers Festival. Makes me with I had visited the brewpub more often...dark mocha with a brown head. Lactose, plums, chocolate, piney hops, roasted malts. Moderate body and carbonation, bitter with a hint of sweetness, nice chocolate and hopiness on the palate, becomes dry with a very nice finish.

FIRST RATE, BOOYAH!!! Had-on-tap @ Portsmouth same day as the Portsmouth Gose and Berliner rates. Pours a deep charcoal dark brown, silken off-white head giving fragrances of prune juice, hop oil, roasted sorghum, and chocolate milk. Tastes of toasted nuts, lactase, raspberry syrup, chocolate and hops -- lots of ’em! I was glad I was there for the day of release, fun beer to drink and funner to tell stories about. I liked that the bitterness from the hops and chocolate intermingled in such a smooth cohesion.
