This one was 9.72% and said on the spine label that it had aged hops, and was aged in both brandy & pinot barrels. Amber orange pour, with a little of the alcohol showing. Complex moderately tart flavor and nose, with a distinct wine character and some sweetness from the brandy. Complex and elegant, as all the AA beers have been so far. maekchu (4104) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JAN 5, 2017
Bomber. Sweet fruit nose, with mild grapes, and tart stone fruit, and some barrel. Deep copper color. Sour fruit, mild funk, sourish buzz all along. Medium body, with moderate astringency. Very tart, rich fruit, and some back-end tongue scratching sourness. KyotoLefty (10810) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 4, 2017
750 ml bottle. Nose of vinegar, vanilla, yogurt, cherries. Reddish-brown, cloudy. Cherry, vinegar, grapes, wine, and yogurt in the flavor. Good. falco242 (398) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 28, 2016
Comes off sweet and a bit malty with a bit of a bitter type of finish. Tartness is there and the booze is hidden for the most part. Unique and fun and glad I’m giving it a shot. DuffMan (10772) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 23, 2016
Bottle shared at game night. Medium orange amber, lasting g off white head. Tangy and spicy, red wine and light vinegar, compulsively drinkable.

750ml bottle thanks to rich. Pours out a hazy burnt orange topped with a small fizzy head. Nose is lots of barrel some lemon zest citrus notes and a light funky tartness. Taste is more of the barrels citrus zing and many more layers going on. reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 30, 2016
750ml corked bottle (April 2016 Edition - 9.72%) pours a hazy orange brown color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is apples and citrus with some wine grapes and hints of brandy. Taste is a lemon tartness with a fruity and malty sweetness finishing quite sweet on the palate. Medium bodied with nice carbonation that pleases the palate. Overall, a fantastic brew that is unique and tasty and definitely recommended for a wonderful tasting experience. beerplace (2330) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 19, 2016
A bottle on the Ale Apothecary beers tasting at Firefly on Cambie. Tasted with Brian. Bottled 07-Apr-2016. Pours a clear copper with a tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet, funky, fermented fruits, nail polish notes, plums. Taste is the same character. Good stuff. HonusWagner (2250) - Florida, USA - AUG 24, 2016
A weird surprisingly sweet sour ale, with nice malty characters reminiscent of, like,a flemish red or oud bruin. Cool beer. boisebeerguy (237) - boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 30, 2016
750 ml bottle numerous times. Nice lemon citrus notes, a lot going on in this beer, good amount of funk. Not overly sours. Orange in color.
