Batch: Dec. 5 2015.
Opened with a few pals at the sour tasting I excitedly hosted.
To glass it pours a strawed dark orange with a diminishing faintly engrossed champagne fuzz peaking above that held sparkling its bubbly jubilee heavenward for attention.
The aromas come from a plummy, lemon skin place and for that I am not hateful or saddened by its muscled uncorking.
Lemon seed pop-up covered in tarragon, oak, white plum, and just the tiniest flirty bite of apple cider vinegar converging prominently throughout.
The lingering flavors remind me of summertime lemonade appreciatively mixed with sourdough tea.
Wine finds itself and gets inwardly snappy after a few swigs - transforming what I’ve known of it - a lemony sour with one whose white wine influence cannot be questioned.
Apricot entered at mid-swallow however hadn’t stuck around for too long.
This is fascinating beer and wonderfully my first ever Ale Apothecary. It these weren’t $40+, I might actually consider trading for more of their bottles.

750 ml bottle shared. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of tart lemon lime. Tastes of lemon lime, tart notes, stone fruit, funk. Light body with a dry finish. dnstone (3485) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - JUN 1, 2017
A nice lightly funky, vinegar acidic aroma. Pours a hazed golden orange with off white head. Acidic vinegar like, approaching sour, light funk and light wood notes. I really like this beer and would love to try it aged.
Notes: bottle pour at the brand new tasting room, June 17

750ml bottle pours out hazy golden topped with a small head. Nose is nice oak barrel some funky lemon citrus zest and spice. Taste is more of the nice oak barrel notes and plenty sour funk. DuffMan (10602) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 30, 2017
Bottle, shared at game night. Lively pour, hazy bright yellow. Lots of barnyard and lemon, woody and juicy and spicy. Lovely complexity here, really delicious. Pretty strong for what they are calling a table beer. I find it funny that every one of us reviewing this brew has commented on the egregious pricetag. But we paid it, didn’t we? Bunch of suckers lol (me included).
