This sour, the forst beer I’ve tried from AA, started really good and just got better and better. Nearly 10% abv was not detected at all, and the carbonation level and mouthfeel were soft and perfect for this beer. The aroma and flavor were cheesy funky, slightly sweet, oaky, vinous, and complex as all get out. Got better and better as it opened up. Expensive, but worth it.

750 mL bottle poured, that luttonm generously both shared and muscled up to remove the cork. Thanks! Happy rate number 6000! A glowing orange pour with a gentle foam head. A wild aroma, sharp, inviting. Flavor is a very nice blend of wine barrel, as expected, but executed a lot better than I had imagined. Tart orange, white grape, soft peach. A ton of dry wine barrel late. As unique and interesting as they come. A beer worth celebrating an occasion with. Excellent stuff.

Batch Nov 09 2012 10.78 alc vol The beer is light golden with a small, fizzy white head. The aroma offers lemons, wild yeast, grass, funk. Herbal and earthy tones with a delicate sweetness balanced by a light funk. Highly drinkable and really smooth on the palate. This one is a sleeper. Light spice quality. Beautiful balance and so easy to drink. Where is the alcohol presence? Masterfully hidden. A truly fabulous beer.

750ml bottle from Belmont Station. A: Cloudy orange color with a half inch of firm white head. A slight glass stain for legs. N: Lemon, grapefruit, straw, horse blanket, and ample oak. Candied oranges. Wine is pronounced with the vinous white grape, some melon and apricot. Esters. This is very inviting. T: Mixture of sourness, oak, and a back end malt which rounds out the flavors. Balanced and delicate without sacrificing intensity. M: Full, well-carbonated, and smooth. O: I’m going to load up on bottles of this. Really, really nice stuff. Bravo.

Pours a cloudy gold, nice sized white head. Flavors of yeast, funk, brett, tropical fruit notes, juicy juice tropical punch, light white peppery notes...damn fine beer.

pours unclear and bright yellow with a very nice frothy white head, good retention and lacing. very dusty and leathery bretts, white wine, juicy fruitiness - pineapple and cantaloupe, hayish and lightly doughy malts, citrus, spices, herbs. bright yet soft carbonation, light body - oily, abv incredibly well hidden, nice and welcoming light acidity, tart and spicy-herbal-grassy astringent finish. smooth. this stuff is excellent!

750 ml bottle from Corvallis shop. Pours big carbonation. Aroma is wine and yeast. Tart taste. Lemon. Holy mackerel. Damn good. Saison all the way. Sour doesn’t do the style justice.

Bottle from bottle shop in bend. Bottled dec 2014. Tastes of orange peel, Meyer lemon. Slight funk and not overwhelming. Really nice balance. A little touch of sweetness from the wine barrels. Really great.

On the verge of exceptional. Think if there was a soured table beer. This is it! Light golden pour, slight foamed white head. Lovely light notes of champagne, funk, spices, and applely pear cider on the nose. Slight tart meets dirt and barnyard on the palate. Funk, sweet white wine, lemon, aged hop, champagne, and cider all over the palate, politely, never overbearing. Effervescent. A dainty mouthful. Hints of oak come out a bit more towards the finish. Pricey beverage at $25.99 a 750ml, but I’d do it again. Loud, quietly. Seem to be enjoying that maturity in a brew these days...

Bottle @ Stephen’s house courtesy of Steve_0. Bottle states 10.54% abv. Pours a clear golden appearance with a small, bubbly white head. Cheesy, quite funky, lemon, lactic, pineapple, tropical fruity aroma. Fairly sweet and refreshing, chewy aged cheese, lactic, mango, pineapple, light grape flavor. Super easy to drink and a lot of fun.
