Bottle... Poured hazy, somewhate of a pinkish/orange with a thin, lacy head. The nose was awesome here. Reminded me of cocktail bitters with the earthiness and spiciness. Tasted mildly tart with noticeable acidity. Some other funk and wine barrel tones. Mildly vinous, but the wine barrels didnt dominate and the beer could show its true colors. Fruits, floral and earthy spicing, and a little but of dryness towards the finish. Dunt (316) - Illinois, USA - JAN 27, 2013
Thanks for bringing this guy over Todd, been interested in trying Ale Apothecary fr a little while now. Pours a light orange in color with two fingers worth of bretty, frothy head. Really nice brett forward nose, it’s dry, lemony, apricot, and very saison-like in nature. Flavor has a lot of similarties to the nose, it’s not as dry or tart, it’s a little sweeter, but still very crisp and saison-like. There is a light honey flavor to it, almost like a nice biere de garde. Very clean and lightly tart. Light to moderate mouthfeel, gentle carbonation, no acidity, and a moerate finish. Really, really nice beer. I’v been going back to smelling it a ton, it has a really nice farmhouse character to it reminiscent of Logsdon and HIll Farmstead. Incredibly crushable at 9.3%, this guy can sneak up on you if you’re not careful. Definitely looking forward to what’s to come from Ale Apothecary in the coming months/years. arminjewell (9676) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, pour is slightly hazy orange with thin white head, aroma brought notes of nice funk, brett, nice oak, chardonnay, hints of nice biscuit, bread, slight lemon notes, really nice. Taste is even better, nice biscuit, bread, lemon, nice funky, slight oak, chardonnay/white grape notes, finishing fairly funky, nice grass, hints of grapefruit. Very, very tasty. Bottle, thanks jack. Pale golden with white head. Funky sharp lambic aroma, citrus, lemon. Similar taste, citrus, lemon, funk. Fizzy and tart. Excelent. nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 18, 2013
750ml bottle pours a hazy gold with some frothy white head. Nose is herbal, tart, lavender, dusty, flower pollen, white grape, white peach, fresh squeezed orange juice. Flavor is really heavy with unripened peaches, kumquats, orange juice, lemon zest, herbal, lavender, white grape, light wood shaving. Lightly sweet, otherwise herbal finish. Very nice. Well crafted.

(Was disturbed during our tasting, will have to re-rate! ;) Pours a hazy yellow with a good white head that leave superior lacing. Aroma of fruits (yellow), hops, brett. Taste is sweet with a good balancing tartness, feeling juicy. Carbonation was good, I believe I downed my glass quite fast (to catch up with the others). Really good altough I’m sure I didn’t enjoy all the subtleties. marcus (10231) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle from City Beer. Pours clear blonde with a transient off-white head and a sour fruit aroma. There is a mellow fruity light malt flavor with a dry wine finish. Refreshing and tasty. gEUS (1637) - Linden, BELGIUM - JAN 11, 2014
750 ml shared by BelgBeerGeek & Tod Hannon. Pours Hazy light yellow with a small white head, fine bubbles. Aroma of pineapple & melon. Sweet sour body with stingy sour through the finish. Fruity flavour with pineapple notes, bit artificial flavours in the aftertase. Very nice beer. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 21, 2014
Bottle, thanks Jack for sharing. This was quite tasty. Reminded me of Hill Farmstead Ann and Tired Hands HandFarm—both wine barrel aged saison/sours. Lots of funk- pineapple, cotton candy, light stone fruit in the nose with a good dose of vinous white wine barrel. Flavor follows suit with a strong barrel finish. Great beer with booze well hidden.
