Thanks for bringing this guy over Todd, been interested in trying Ale Apothecary fr a little while now. Pours a light orange in color with two fingers worth of bretty, frothy head. Really nice brett forward nose, it’s dry, lemony, apricot, and very saison-like in nature. Flavor has a lot of similarties to the nose, it’s not as dry or tart, it’s a little sweeter, but still very crisp and saison-like. There is a light honey flavor to it, almost like a nice biere de garde. Very clean and lightly tart. Light to moderate mouthfeel, gentle carbonation, no acidity, and a moerate finish. Really, really nice beer. I’v been going back to smelling it a ton, it has a really nice farmhouse character to it reminiscent of Logsdon and HIll Farmstead. Incredibly crushable at 9.3%, this guy can sneak up on you if you’re not careful. Definitely looking forward to what’s to come from Ale Apothecary in the coming months/years. 750ml bottle. Pale gold with white foam. Nose is funky, hint of gueuze-like cheese, and has a nice influence from the barrels. Tastes bright, sour, lemon citrussy, honey, again nice wine barrel twang. Hides the 10% well. Lovely classy sour. Really wish I had easy access to their beers. ljthiessen (1391) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 6, 2014
Sample from bottle. Tastes like a nicely tart saison. Lots of fruit, citrus and more. Very nice. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 18, 2014
Tasted on 2/8/14 from a 750mL bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours cloudy yellow with a thick white head that slowly recedes to thick lace. The nose is dry sourdough, a touch of lemon peel, and a ton of funky and vinous yeast. The flavor is a bit more tart with gooseberry, lemon, very dry, vinous, and spicy with a touch of lightly sweet Meyer lemon. The body is lactic full with lively but smooth carbonation, and a long tart vinous finish.

750ml bottle in a teku. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of sourness / tartness, some light malts, some light oak and wine, and a good amount of floral hops. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. A solid beer. jrob21 (3760) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 2, 2015
Bottle shared at HMOG and paired with a more recent bottling. The newer bottle has a little more funk in the aroma but the flavor is too similar still for me to tell a difference. Light grape and wine flavors. Medium funkiness. Well rounded and tasty. rlgk (18851) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 27, 2015
