Tasted on cask at the Kew Brewpub. Pours with a small foamy head and a deliciously dark malty colour. Smells like butter toffee, lighter than it looks. Alongside the traditional bitter malty mouthful it tastes moderately floral and olive oily - not particularly pleasant, and leaves a slightly odd aftertaste. Perfectly drinkable bitter but not one I’d return to. Beese (2669) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2013

Hints of dried grass, brown sugar. Dry finish. A bit of tobacco. Medium body, smooth. Overall, fine, but not particularly graceful. Handpull at The Botanist. Amberish gold with a smallish frothy offwhite head. Aroma is initially fairly diacetyl-forward, but it settles to a generic fruity grassy/herbal mix, no alcohol, not overly sweet. Taste has a bit more coating bitterness to it than I expected, bit still seems a bit twiggy and fruity, albeit green fruit (red currants?). Light body, a bit astringent, not much carbonation or finish to it. Okay indeed. oh6gdx (26482) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 16, 2012
