3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A Mes rate: Cask in the Fat Cat in Sheffield.
Dark golden brown with a thin almost white head. Wheaty, slight tea, some sweet yeast and bready notes and just a little bit green all round. Not sure if this was down to it being served a little early or just the beer being rather dull.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Fat Cat, Sheffield, on RateBeer Valley of Beer Crawl ’08. Dark amber with a small white head. Sweet, ashy crispy bacon aroma. Spicy, tarry taste. Mid bitter finish. This was full of character, even if it wasn’t quite what I was expecting.
