Cask at the Craft Beer Co, London on 24th September 2011. Clear amber with frothy off-white head. Fresh hoppy aroma and then burst of hoppy bitterness in-mouth with fine grapefruit and herby bitterness. A delectable grassy finish. Light mouthfeel, but slight viscosity of texture. Couple of pre-match pints in The Crown, Nuneaton, 09/04/12. Orange gold with a generous, persisting white collar. Intense, stripped-back bitterness; grapefruit, stewed but flowery TT-like hop with celery and Darjeeling notes smoothed out with a lick of creamy malt. Urinal, grapefruit, toilet rug, dishcloth lemon and lime aroma. Pungent, quinine-bitter. You’ve got to be in the mood for hops to take this one on. A lovely, pungent smack in the face.
