Bottle. Looks big and black. Taste is large and in charge. Very good carbonation for an ipa. You know this is 7% if not more. Mouthcoating bitterness in yer face. Its a facial fer sure. Big black nasty birtha butt and her sister bahsheebah. The smell is rather alarming boozy burnt ipa. Overall a massive boozy dark brew with a personality that’s in yer face.

Pours a black color with a light tan head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops with some roasted malts. Flavor is stronger of the roasted malts with the citrus and pine. Decent bitter finish as well.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a medium light brown head. A nice roasty chocolate nose, some citrus. A really nice flavor, dank hops, chocolate, pine. A big porter like base. Very smooth. Finishes with pine and chocolates. Solid.

bottle to snifter that pours a dark brown with a light mocha colored head, some decent lacing on the glass. medium malt base that is medium roasted, hints of chocolate malts and hops that are more grassy than anything on the nose. the flavor is some medium roasted malt bitterness, slight chocolate malts and plenty of hops middle and the end. flavors are not a jumbled mess they are pretty separated and blended well. this is a really good black ipa.

Black IPAs are mostly a hoppy stout. Right? This is a chocolatey? Roasty toasty stout with a bunch of hops. I had some cooler ranch Doritos before and during. Those were better. 5/5 for cooler ranch doritos. The beer doesnt suck but it isnt good. Its a bad hoppy stout. Screw you Black IPA.

Turboninja (763) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 28, 2015
[email protected], from Heinen’s, Cleveland, USA. Medium aroma with slightly sweet dark berries, a hint of toffee notes. Pitch black color with small light beige head. Strong balanced taste with slightly parfymic black berries, hops and some malts. Somewhat simple. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with hops and malts. Medium/light body with medium carbonation. Overall, very decent although bit artificial and with light mouth feel.
