Rated on 7-30-2011 at Bock & Rock in Minster, OH. This beer has a smal off-white head that mostly diminishes, transparent gold body, very little carbonation observed, and virtually no lacing. The aroma is some wheat, citrus hops, light grapefruit, and semi-sweet. The taste is sweet, wheat, lightly bitter, and citrus hops. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied. This is an easy drinking beer and refreshing on a warm summer day. shigadeyo (3730) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 1, 2013

1/12/2011: TBK Erie Gold American Wheat Ale... Aroma: Faint graininess with a nice juicy tangerine citrus hoppiness. Appearance: Bright copper color; close to non-existent off-white crown. Flavor: Wheat maltiness, toasty; citrus and grapefruit peel; fuzzy honey sweetness; nice bite in the finish; moderate bitterness. Palate: Medium-light body; soft. Overall: Pretty nice for an American-style Wheat Ale.

Aroma: Hints of caramel malts, but really faint
Appearance: Clear gold orange with thick white head
Taste: Light, watery sweetness with a dry hint of bitterness in finish.
Palate: Light-medium body, smoothe creamy texture, average carbonation, long dry finish
Overall: Very unique and interesting beer. Not what I expected at all, which is good. Very light and extremely dry beer, perfect for a summer day. JStax (6357) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Poured from a bomber into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy yellow with a huge head of white, rocky foam. It took about twenty minutes to get two glasses of this beer poured. The aroma was nicely estery and a lot like fresh baked banana nut bread. It also had a noticeably citra character that although sounds odd with the esters, actually works quite well. Taste is doughy and fruity. Very nice wheat beer.

Poured into a weizen glass.
4.0 A: Faintly hazed golden orange color. Two and a half fingers of frothy white head. Retention is good and a tall ring of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Neutral wheat maltiness. Herbal and flowery hops. Simple, but pleasant.
3.0 T: Like the nose. Wheaty. Low bitterness with herbal and piney hop flavor.
3.0 M: Lighter medium body. Carbonation appropriate for style. Could be creamier.
3.0 D: An average, easy drinking beer.

Bottle. Watch out; if you don’t pour it fast enough, it might fizz over the top! Pours an off-golden color with a white head. Aroma is strong floral hops, more like what I would expect from an IPA than a "wheat ale." There is a tinge of wheat aroma once the dust settles and the head subsides. Taste is quite hoppy at first with a wheat and citrus (typical of wheat beers) finish. Heavily carbonated - it felt like I was drinking warm Pepsi on a sunny afternoon in Texas. I think the carbonation in a way robs this brew of its flavor; sometimes all I could taste was air. (and yes, it was cold) Other than that, not a bad beer. hypn0toad (267) - Maryland, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Hoppy / unpleasant odor. Very difficult to find on this website. Very difficult to find on ratebeer. It would seem like this "brewery" likes to change their name or something. What kind of respectable brewery would be "production works"? I’m not looking to see a play! I want to drink a beer! This hoppy very bubbly beer is odd. There isn’t much other flavor to it. I’ll finish what I have but I’m not going to try to look for any more. Erie- get your act together! EDIT: Ratebeer I’m back. The aftertaste is bad. -0.1. scottw86 (1175) - Maryland, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Poured a pale yellow color with a thin white head. Aroma is very hoppy with lots of grapefruit and clove notes. Taste also is quite hoppy with lots of grass and veggies. Some good sweet malty flavors balance it out. A little one dimensional but a good amount of flavor. Aftertaste has some bitterness. Overall pretty decent. I wasn’t expecting it to be this hoppy, but it works. Drake (13649) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 15, 2011
Bomber from Belmont Party Supply. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a monstrous light fluffy, frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of big citrus hops, some apple and a faint bit of malt. The taste is citrus hops and wheat. Lightly bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Medium bodied. Pretty drinkable.
