Sample at the brewpub. Clear dark orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and slight hops. Light to medium body with flavors of grainy malt, caramel and mild fruity hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. phaleslu (10267) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Draft pint at Moerlein Lager House. Pours a clear orange-hued gold with a small off-white head that leaves some lace streaks and spots. The aroma is very light, with toast, sugar, banana chips, and paper. Flavor of toast, grass, wet hay, sugar, banana, and wet leaves. Light-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a sweet mouthfeel with minor balancing bitterness and a finish that dries out. Not a very strong Oktoberfest offering. 12oz bottle. Bottle labeled 6.0%. Pours a clear red orange color. Thin khaki head. Few short ropes of lace. Up front, sweet darker kind of caramely toasty malts, some nuttiness, light spice. Some mild earthy hop.Dark fruit. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Medium body. Smooth, kind slick, light crisp lighter carbonation. Solid, straight-forward oktoberfest. Nice to enjoy with my leftover pizza / tabouli lunch. nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 21, 2013

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was faint but a bit toasty with bread crust and a hint of fruity hops. The flavor was bitter with almost crystal malt, tobacco, dark fruit and perfume. Long perfumey finish. Medium body. Not good. Strykzone (7360) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 12, 2014
Bottle received in a trade with awlcordell. A clear amber pour that has just a little foam. A sweet toffee and gentle fruit aroma. Caramel malts and that fruit are tasted first. It is a little like drinking candy. Some grain, earth, and soft hop notes. Caramel grows. This is a sweet drinking beer and is definitely on the pleasant side. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 2, 2013
This one poured a darker orange with an off white head. Aroma was of caramel nuts and dried fruits. Flavor was similar, overly sweet and not toasted. Caramel bomb.
