Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate toasted rye & hop aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Moderate tingly bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met

12 ounce bottle from And Beer, Athens. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of rye, raw malt, candied citrus, pine, caramel. The taste is toffee malt, rye, citrus. Medium bodied, good balance. Nice beer, as per usual from these guys.

Sample at the DBLDP on 09/02/2012: Dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. The aroma is rye spices, malt and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of rye malt, grassy hops and a bit of fruit. The finish is hoppy with a rye aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle from Lizardville Rocky River. Slightly murky light amber pour with minimal head. Rye and dusty caramel malt nose, taste is fairly sweet. Medium to lighter palate. Not bad.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have spicy rye bread, caramel, resiny, some citrus, toasted, grass, decent enough.

DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 7, 2012
12oz bottle. Clear sort of reddish amber color. thin khaki head. Dots of lace. Nice lighter smooth carbonation, dry finish. Very nice rye grain aroma - toasty rye bread, and a good amount of spicy hops. Moderate bitter taste, a light sweet finish. Easy to drink, refreshing enough for a 100F day.

Thanks to Cliff for the bottle but sorry man- but this was revolting... . Mucky tan brown .. . Fizzy head .. . Thin mouth .. . Metal and water treatment qualities .. . The lettering was wrong, a C fell off the name of this beer .. . . I always carry at least 20 sharpie pens on me.. Just incase..

12 ounce bottle. Copper color. Malty with lots of caramel. Bit of sweetness on end. That rye comes through. Interesting take on amber.

JaBier (8156) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Sample at From the Vine on 7/27/12. Clear copper pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of rye, caramel and grassy hops; very fresh, almost like wort. Malty and caramelly flavor with spicy rye before a grassy hop finish.

JStax (7123) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JUN 25, 2012
Poured on draft. Hazy amber with a white head of foam that had a tint of orange to it. Aroma is all spicy rye with some resin and floral hop notes. Taste is all rye spiciness at first but gives way to a earthily bitter finish. Full mouthfeel.
