3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this one at the Brew Kettle around St. Patty’s Day. Not sure if this was previously under a different name, but it certainly doesn’t taste like the Blarney Stone I had here a year or two ago, so entering it as a new brew. Darkest brown to black pour with a frothy beige head. Somewhat roasty and ashy nose with not much else going on. Roasted malt flavor with some hop and ashiness for lasting bitterness. Easy drinking, but that’s not what I’m looking for in a stout.
