COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New entry for the MD waterways series. A bright summer ale brewed for our friends in Montgomery County. Brewed with Bravo and Amarillo hops, a real thirst quencher for late summer.

On tap at Scion restaurant in Silver Spring, MD. Clear, golden-orange with an off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of coriander, wheat, cloves, orange, spices and caramel. Taste of coriander, wheat, cloves, orange, light fruit, bread, caramel and spices. Medium/full body and medium/high carbonation yield a mouthfeel that is a nice match to this low ABV, yet full-flavored ale. This ale does not fit neatly into any one category. It was described at the bar as a Belgian ale. While it does have some elements in common with a Belgian pale ale, it is closer in style to a witbier. However, it has a richer flavor, body and spiciness than a witbier. Although it is billed as a summer ale, it would serve equally well a sessionable winter warmer (if that makes any sense). In any case, I'm happy to drink it on a hot summer day or any other time of the year. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
