Tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy amber with a beige head. Malty aroma. Med body. It’s malty with a little hop. Chocolate note I seem to find in ambers. Not my thing. nearbeer (5600) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 17, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 24, 2015 Pint on tap at the Peppermill’s Bimini Restaurant. Clear copper with a lasting disc of foam. Aroma is toast, toffee and a bit of toasted nut. Tastes of caramel, toasted pecan, spicy citrus and hint of dry cocoa. Light-medium body has a pleasant medium carbonation and a nice balance. slowrunner77 (12804) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 18, 2014
"as with all their beers, this one was a bit of a letdown. not a whole lot to report on here...slightly substandard malt and hop aromas and flavor. Nothing bad, but really nothing good. re-rate 6/09: 4th best of the 8 they were serving...doesn’t really say a whole lot. not BAD, but not worth the price of a pint. darker than usual." bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 28, 2014
Draft. Reddish-amber beer with a cream head. Malt aroma. Malt and light citrus flavor. Medium bodied. Malt sand light citrus lingers. monk191 (2023) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 15, 2013
Simple, but tasty. Pours a very nice red. No smell whatsoever. Taste is simplistic, but a decent amber for warming up after a ski day. Had on tap at the brewery.

Aroma:caramel/roasted malts, low aroma
Taste:dyacital, caramel, roasted malts
Overall: This was a thick chewy beer. The aroma and flavor were mild so the thick body was really off putting to me.
Sample at the brewery. Aroma has caramel notes. Some hop. Flavor is good, and I usually don’t care for ambers. Palate is thick and finishes mildly dry. Flavor has a sweet maltInnes to it. Overall its a great beer. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2011
[Tap] Light brown in color with a small white head. Hazelnut and some caramel in the nose. The taste is of caramel, grass, some cocoa, bread and grassy hops. Dry and dusty finish. Nicely balanced. Average carbonation. Mild, but pleasant. This was one of their better beers. nickd717 (4886) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 22, 2010
Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear medium amber with nice white head and good lacing. Aroma is mostly malty and caramelly without too much hop presence. Flavor is mainly caramel malt, along with a little roastiness and mild citrusy hops. A little butterscotch. Medium body with average carbonation and a pretty standard non-hoppy amber ale mouthfeel. Overall, meh, pretty average. Drinkable I guess.
