Pours hazy brown with a few off-white bubbles. Aroma has notes of malt, toffee, spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, brett, alcohol and fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, fruity, toffee, spicy finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Bottle at the taproom. Slightly hazy, amber in color, more or less headless. Mostly sweetish on the nose, some alcohol and maple syrup. Lightly spiced too. Warming on the palate, full bodied and flat. Lasting flavor with maple syrup, caramel and a touch of spices and tropical fruits. A bit boring this one. 130811

A good sour, a little bit of a breath of fresh air in the world of hops. For anybody that is a little over the hop craze, you should look at this beer.

Side by side with bourbon barreled version. Thinner than bourbon but a touch yammy for me.

25-JAN-2012, bottle @Paps tasting, @Yespr. Hazy amber with low tan head. Fruit aroma with malt and some brett. Taste the same but comes out far stronger than aroma. Still not overly bretty, though. Medium to full body with low carbonation. Some hops finish up the taste, but more like a barley wine than a sour/wild.
