Flaska från Brill. Kastanjefärgad vätska med ljust beige skum. Stor, maltsöt kropp, mycket choklad, portvin, torkad frukt.

750 mL bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a dark brown, almost black with a beige head...about 1/2"...fades away quickly to lacing all around the glass and on top of the beer. Nose is quite intense and hard to place. Spicy, slightly doughy, earthy, oak, malts. Taste is very similar, mouthfeel is thick and rich, contrasted with lively carbonation. This is a very good beer. ABV is noticeable but not overwhelming for 11%. This beer is certainly best enjoyed while sitting around a fire on a cold winter’s night. Another great brew from the Bruery!

Big 0,75l bottle enjoyed all by myself at home, and i’m glad i had this one all for myself
Pours dark brown with a excuisite brown head. The look is absolutely fantastic, the head falls down after a while but the laced head is still amazingly pretty. Smells of christmas spices like ginger, clove and pepper, roasted malts and rye bread, middle east spice cake, in total just a very complex and fantastic aroma. Heavy sweet, caramel and spices, extreme malts blended together in almost perfect harmony. Light bitter finish. Wow, what a brew. Tons of complex aromas, malts all over the place, wonderful look, nice balance and mouthfeel. Not far from a perfect beer. Hope to try this one again some time

En bombe av lukt og smak. God søtlig frukt lukt. Full av frukt smak, rik på munnfølelse og ettersmak. Oppdager nye detaljer for hver munnfull. Må oppleves.

Tap at haymarket-bruery event with jay goodwin. P is nearblack mahogany w a brown head that dissipated to the edges. Nose is rich chocolate roasted malts w a light and subtle gingerbread touch. Taste is awesome! Rich chocolate malts and gingerbread. Heavy flavors came off rich w/o being messy. My kind of palate! Yummm

Dark mahogany with thin, tan, head / Rich, sweet, winey, nose of dark fruit, oak, and chocolate / Full body, sweet, thick, and syrupy, soft carbonation, with decent hop balance and long, smoothly, only lightly hot, finish / Big flavors of cocoa, fig, dates, and oak with restrained spices of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger / Terrific. Would be interesting to age.

A - Pour a dark mahogany with a touch of ruby around the edges and a thin finger of frothy chocolate head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some light lace. S - Aroma is full of rich sweet dark fruits with raisin and prune, with some Belgian yeast, spices, gingerbread, caramelized malts, and a touch of booze. T - Starts off with rich sweet dark fruits, raisin, prune, and caramelized malts. There is also a bit of spice and Belgian yeast flavor. Through the middle, some more gingerbread spices come through with a touch of cherry. The finish is a mix of sweet dark fruits and caramel malts, with some candi syrup, Belgian yeast, spice, and some booze. M - Full bodied with mild carbonation. Feels smooth and syrupy with a sweet, warming, and lightly spicy finish. D - Very drinkable. The gingerbread spices are a nice addition here and balance really nicely with the BSDA base.
