Bottled. A hazy red beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, over ripe fruits, and a bit of brettanomyces, leading to a dry finish. joergen (28989) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 19, 2014

Bamberg Bash Day 2. Cafe Abseits tasting. Clear amber beer, little bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light and dry. Little alcohol dryness. Sweetish malt with a little caramel and a little spice. Not getting much gooseberry at all. Spicy dry finish. It’s okay but not one of Bruery’s better efforts.
Trübes kupferfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, trocken, malzig. Geschmack süß malzig, kräftig, freife Früchte, alkoholisch. Leighton (22055) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2015
Bottle shared at the Cafe Abseits tasting during the Bamberg Excursion. Many thanks to Kenny! Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy capping. Very sweet, heavy, lots of sugary fruits, bread and toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, warming, with more toffee, toasty sugars, ripe fruits. Not bad overall, but certainly quite rich. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 2, 2014
Danish tasting sessionTheydon_Bois (20485) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 1, 2014
Hazy dark amber color with small sized compact head. Aroma of fruits, some smell of puke and stale water; light talc. Sweetish flavor, some fruit (fruit jam), malt, not much of the promised Belgian character (self defined Belgian style); ordinary bitterness with some wood in the end and fairly strong alcohol impression.
Confused and not much interesting concoction.
Day 2 of the post Xmas Bamberg Jolly, Cafe Abseits Tasting bottle thanks to our Kenneth who peddles the Bruery in more than one country, 25/01/14.
Murky orange amber with a moderate off white swirl/edgework.
Nose is bitter fruits, light pear drops, sweet notes, spice, booze.
Taste comprises dark fuits, sweet, dates, bitter orange, toffee, booze.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, booze laden closure.
Drinkable but ultimately falls short, lacks depth for ABV, not the best from the Bruery. harrisoni (19189) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2014
Bottle at Cafe Abseits. Tasting. Cloudy red amber lasting beige head. It’s quite intense. Marzipan and alcohol. Perfumed. Good.
