Really enjoyed this Belgium, to me brings in what a Belgium should be, strong, smooth, the ABV does not come through and it full of flavor. huineman (719) - Madrid, SPAIN - APR 21, 2015
Hazy tan body with rapidly disappearing beige head.
Strong aromas of honey, vanilla, red berries, orange and croissant.
Powerful, sweetish, with fresh sourness. No bitterness whatsoever. Creamy, medium-lasting finish. WanderinCelt87 (197) - Hamburg, New Jersey, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Pours a lovely dark mahogany body with a small white head. Has a fantastic sweet aroma of berries and malt. Goes down smooth with no lingering after taste. firstsip (733) - Michigan, USA - DEC 7, 2013
On tap. Opaque--insanely unfiltered, leaving lacing and sediment on the glass. Notes of ginger. Nose and taste stronly of banana, clove and other fruit esters. Palidor19 (3189) - Brandon, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2013
Lots of flavor. The flavor is has a near perfect combo of malt and dark berries. The beer is dark and fruity but not tart. It's pack a punch with every sip. This a winner

Wow. I'm really impressed with this beer. I'm usually not to have gooseberries, but I think I like them :) onceblind (9891) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 18, 2016
Slightly hazy deep amber under a tight ivory head. Lovely earthy berry sweet nose with dark raisins and gooseberry and Belgian candy sugar. Smooth bold flavor that’s got the same tones from the nose; dark Belgian malt, plum/raisin, gooseberry, Belgian candy sugar, a warm slightly cocoa’d booze heat, and a sweet fruity finish. Lovely. Warming and pleasant and complex. RedSox2004 (1915) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - NOV 9, 2013
Medium brown mahogany with a slight haze, strong two-finger head that dissipated to a solid and consistent film, and exquisite lace. Aromas of ripe dark fruits - figs, plums, raisins - banana, brown sugar, toasted malt and a whiff of maple. Rich dark fruit sweetness with the tartness of a granny smith, accompanied by toast and brown sugar. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, rich creamy mouthfeel, and a slightly tart finish. Wonderful - might put one away for a couple of years. Petkus331 (389) - Redford, Michigan, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Strong banana clove belgian aroma. Appears to be unfiltered, a caramally opaque light brown, beautiful lacing. Tastes of sour ginger with hints of sweet banana, some leather, followed by hop bittering. Palate is medium bodied a little fizzy. Overall, very nice. 750 from Smith’s and Whole Foods. Pours turbid ruddy brownish rust colored with off-white head. Nose is plum, cherry, berry, funky yeasty esters, mild hopcitrus. Tastes dense and complex on the palate, with the lack of filtration adding layers of fruity complexity. Finishes with notes of old aley funky yeast, fruit and berry, and winter spices.
