The ninth verse of our Twelve Days of Christmas™ series dances with flavors inspired by tiramisu. Happy Holidays!

Here’s a pick me up for the latest verse in our Twelve Days of Christmas™ series. Inspired by flavors and ingredients found in tiramisu, including ladyfingers, 9 Ladies Dancing mimics the Italian dessert by whipping together flavor combinations and layers of its own. This includes notes of vanilla, chocolate and coffee – clearly the leading ladies in this rich, dessert-like beer.

Dark amber in color on tap. Not enough coffee to really remind me of tiramisu as advertised, but a nice strong ale base, malty and alcoholic with cocoa and a decent amount of vanilla. A bit more coffee and spice and this would score higher.

1/12/2017 -- from notes: 750ml bottle, from Dutch's. Shared with Steph. Coffee, vanilla, chocolate over an agreeable mild belgian strong ale base. Does kind of taste like tiramisu. Hides alcohol pretty well. Seems like a great candidate for BA. Kind of dark red amber color. Thin ring of khaki head. Toasted sugars, just a little touch of dark fruit. Good full body, nice creamy texture, mild slick. Nice light to moderate bitter, moderate-plus sweet, not as sweet as I feared at all. Mild warmth on the finish. Very nice, satisfying, interesting. Good one.

Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters showing a clear, deep amber color, with a decent layer of off white/light tan froth, and foamy spots of lacing. The nose was dried fruit & skins, berry, a touch of ripeness, some nutty & toasted notes, spice, vanilla, and subtle sweetness. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was a liquid pot pouri of the aroma notes, with some tartness & tanginess. Chocolate & coffee were silent participants at best. Didn't boost my holiday spirit.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2017 I drank this beer in Switzerland on Christmas Eve last year. The snow was falling heavily and everyone there agreed that it was the sluttiest flavored beer we ever had. It was amazingly sexual, with just a soupçon of raunch.

Very strong, but the taste/aroma will put you in the mood to turn on the Christmas music and drink this by the fire place. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2018 Bottle shard at game night. Very dark with a light brown head. Creamy coffee, light spices and a welcome fruit-acidity in the finish. Tasty.

75CL. It's a dark brown appearance in the glass. fairly opaque against the light with some reddish brown appearance. 2 finger coffee tan head, sticky head. the aroma is solid. Very dry, some old moldy coffee lending a spicy aroma. hints of vanilla. graham cracker, cracked pepper, vanilla, toffee, nougat, coconut. very dry, lingering flavor is just stale water.

Bottle from the RS. Good carbonation on the swirl of the snifter, deep brown color. Aroma is chipotle pepper, old coffee, chocolate candy. Seems like the coffee is starting to turn to peppers. Still the sweetness mellows it out.

The chocolate and vanilla sweetness are still pretty decent. If you have a bottle don't hold it any longer, open now. May not last to much longer.

Beerdedone (3521) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 28, 2017
Bottle. Pours amber brown with a medium sized beige head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, some fruit, caramel and had notes of light spices.

_angst_ (5009) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 24, 2017
Bottle @ Bruery Bonanza 2017. Reddish brown pour with a frothy offwhite head. Pears, almonds, cookies & glue in the nose. Light hay & honey. Sweet & yeasty fruity taste. Round & very tiny tart mouth. Pointless...
