UPDATED: NOV 25, 2009 Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of JohnC. Pours an opaque orangey brown with a tiny off-white head. Distinct bourbony aroma. Solid body, a little tired mouthfeel. Low in carbonation yet quite a bit livelier than the original! The syrup and sweet spices are still there but are generaly overpowered by the wood. Sweet and alcoholic finish. Delicious. 231109 madmitch76 (24789) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2012

10.0% version. Cloudy dark brown beer. Light nose of malt, spice and a little oak. Light semi dry palate. Smooth oaky malt with spice and an underlying sweetness. A light tang leads to aniseed alcohol. Well joined up with the component yams, molasses, maple syrup and spices all in synch. Some molasses in the aftertaste.
Draft at The Bruery taproom - cheers, Andrew! Pours clear amber with a creamy top. The nose is all ripe fruits, fruitcake, vanilla and bread. Medium to big sweet flavor with toffee, ripe berries, more fruitcake and mild autumnal spices. Full bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Warm finish with more spices, fruitcake, toffee, vanilla and modest maple character. Rich and flavorful. mcberko (17809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 23, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 750mL bottle, sent from BigTomz (thanks Tom), pours an opaque dark amber / brown with a small beige head. Aroma is intense, with yams, bourbon barrels, brown sugar and maple syrup. Flavour is heavy on the bourbon barrels, followed by the maple syrup, brown sugar and subtler yams than in the nose. The bourbon and maple are the biggest elements. Finishes with maple syrup and yams, and lots of the bourbon. While the barrels take centre stage, the alcohol is well-contained. Certainly a unique concoction here - enjoyable in small amounts, but becomes overbearing quickly. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle at the taproom. Slightly hazy, amber in color, more or less headless. Woody, light vanilla aroma with maple syrup and caramel. Not as much alcohol as in the other Autumn Maples. Sweet, warming and full bodied, with maple syrup, caramel, some woody hints and a spiced touch. Really wonderful this one. Would certainly like more of it. 130811
