POurs a bit darker than the other 2. As expected, this was my favorite of the 3 versions of Autumn Maple. The regular offering is a bit like Punkin, good but not great. The brett version is a bit muddled. And in this one, they didn’t seem to be going for subtlety with the bourbon. The aroma and flavor are predominantly bourbon, partly because the original beers flavor wasn’t too aggressive to begin with, and partly because it must have spent quite a bit of time in the oak, as evidenced by the 3% jump in abv. A nice mix of sweet and peppery bourbon, allowing just enough of the yammy sweetness through (and a touch of spice) to make it unique. "

750 ml bottle shared with the group. Pours a hazy brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet, fleshy pumpkin, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, bourbon, vanilla, wood, some alcohol comes through even though this was an older bottle. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured cloudy dark brown color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid nutmeg, ginger and bourbon aroma. Moderate body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy spicy sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet and bourbon finish of moderate to long duration. Solid version of this beer. b3shine (8804) - Indiana, USA - JUL 13, 2014
750 ml bottle to snifter (shared by alexsdad06). Looks good; a translucent mahogany with off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid too; bittersweet and malty with mild notes of maple syrup. Tastes like it smells with an average medium-bodied mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

750ml bottle, shared by alexsdad06. Sticker on the back indicates that this is 100% barrel aged. Labeled 10%. Marker on the bottom of the bottle reads 11/09, so this must be about a 5 year old bottle. Mildly hazy dark red, sort of brown color. Pours with pretty much no head, no lace. Awesome nose of maple, yams, brown sugar. Taste is a little less interesting than the smell. Little to no carbonation, nearly flat. Bigger body. More dry finish. Moderate bitter taste. Moderate sweet. Some light alcohol warmth, but no burn or bite. Light savory, vegetal flavor that isn’t that great. Good for the smell, but not the most pleasant drinker. Pour a small amount just for the nose, then move on. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Bottle @ Stephen’s house. Pours a violet / brownish appearance with a tan head. Caramel, rich maple syrup, vanilla, a bit nutty, whiskey aroma. Twangy, red fruity, slightly vinous, caramel, whiskey flavor. Tastes infected. Gross. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Bottle at home with friends. Pour is slightly murky with a small frothy tan head and good lacing. Big caramelly, maple syrup, cardamom, vanilla, sweet potatoes, vanilla, and toffee in the aroma. Taste is bourbon, sweet brown sugar, dark fruity, oaky, earthy, raisins, somewhat tangy, and light alcohol on the backend. Slick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. OK. Bottle from Homer... Thanks?? Pours amber. Smells like a cranberry lambic. Is that right? Totally taste like a cranberry sour. No way this is a yam beer, maybe yam covered in lacto, mixed with Brett and cat piss. Better luck next time, will need to try as designed.
