COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is made in the pumpkin beer tradition, except instead of pumpkins we used yams, and lots of them! A big Belgian-style brown ale of 10% ABV, this one is bringing pumpkin beers (or yam beers) into new territory.

(bottle) clear very bright reddish amber colour with a small beige head; aroma of stewed fruit, candy, spice; smooth palate; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish; very nice

Sampled at the Societe Party 2016. It poured a dark mahogany color with a tan head. The aroma was of spices, malts, pumpkin, wood and caramel. The taste was similar to the aroma with some yams, malts, caramel, spices and syrup. Interesting.

Draft 10 oz pour at Malt and Vine. Paid almost as much for this as the bottle is, because Im an idiot. Bright cloudy orange pour with a thin fizz head. Big time sweet aroma with nape and vanilla. Sugar sweet, maple, brown sugar, and a cool finish. Interesting.

Sweet and complex aroma and taste, but very much up my alley. Heavy on the sweet components - caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, maple syrup - with a very smooth mouthfeel. Excellent.

Bomber thanks to one of the three cousins in the bario. Leafy nose. Light booze upfront and syrupy. Slight spice and milk chocolate.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Murky amber color with beige head. Aroma is spicy, somehow like a pumpkin pie. I get cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Taste follows with the same spices and sweet malts. Aftertaste is more bitter but still spicy. Slightly boozy but overall quite enjoyable.
