COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is made in the pumpkin beer tradition, except instead of pumpkins we used yams, and lots of them! A big Belgian-style brown ale of 10% ABV, this one is bringing pumpkin beers (or yam beers) into new territory.

A deep brown with a bit hint of red. The bottle got excited and flowed over when I opened it. The smell isnt much. The taste leaves a little to be desired from one of my favorite Bruery-s.

Smells strongly of sweet potatoes, syrup, butterscotch, pumpkin pie spice and is slightly boozy. Brownish reddish rust color with a thin off white head. Funky taste, almost like a farmhouse ale. The nice aromas do not come through in the taste, least of all the yams. Metallic aftertaste with a booze burn, very thin palate. I really dont like the way this tastes. I had high hopes, but was very disappointed.

Its what youd expect from a Belgian-influenced beer in terms of its malt & yeast qualities, but the molasses, maple syrup, & spice give this beer that distinct Fall seasonal character. Yams not too pronounced, but maybe Im mixing that with the malt & syrup combo. Regardless, its a solid Autumn offering from The Bruery; decent price for a 750ml bottle and tastes superior to many pumpkin beers!

It pours amber with with an off white head. The aroma has meaty yams, rich roasted malt, Abbey yeast and nuttiness. It has a rich body with lots of prickly carbonation. The taste has more Belgian Abbey notes. Good.

Clear golden brown pour with a thin cream colored head. Aroma is sweet maple syrup, spice, bread, and booze. Taste is bread, nuts, sweet syrup, spice and somewhat vegetal. Some boozy heat. Medium body with some lively carbonation.

Tap at gravity. Mahogany with small head. Wonderful aroma of maple and spice. Flavor follows, with some apple pie spicing. Caramel. Really nice dessert beer.

Bardzo przyprawowe, fajna dynia bez dyni. Szkoda że w tegorocznym tak mało syropu klonowego.

Cloudy brown pour with a light beige head. The aroma is earthy with toffee and caramel malts dominating, and a sweet candied fruit. Taste is pretty sweet, with prune and raisin notes, Belgian Dubbel type yeast flavors and a underlying richness throughout. Heavy booze content, has some alcohol burn. Syrup like in texture, but not flavor. Yams are lost to me except for the underlying earthy notes, and the same goes for the maple, it was completely undetectable to me.
