COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is made in the pumpkin beer tradition, except instead of pumpkins we used yams, and lots of them! A big Belgian-style brown ale of 10% ABV, this one is bringing pumpkin beers (or yam beers) into new territory.

Really unusual beer; I’m not sure I like it necessarily, but I don’t dislike it, and am more intrigued than anything. Pours with a fizzy, full head. Flavor is yams, port, fall spices; sort of a sour taste. It has a long aftertaste that fills the mouth. The aroma is somewhat better than the flavor. Dry in the finish. I’m not sure how much I could drink, but I find this more interesting than most of the pumpkin beers I’ve had. (10/18/12 at Total Wine IPA beer tasting class w/Tony.)

25.4floz (750ml) bottle, no date (guesstimate this is 2016 release, when this brewery freshly started distributing in the area, they allocated some of this in the spring of 2017 to a few stores and bars), forget how much I paid (pretty sure it was a sale price for about 3/5 of normal), pint glass. Sweet yammy yams. This here is a murky amber-brown ale with a sour aroma. Taste is more of the candy part of candy yams - sugar and spice (cinnamon), but short of being cloying. Heavy beer. It's decent with the caveats that this is a very specific type of mood beer. I do find it better than the vast majority of pumpkin beers available. Still, I prefer a yam or a sweet potato eaten. Not drank. Overall, I'm giving it the prime number 3, but on the very most special of occasions it could rate a high 3.xx. (*rare*). In any given season besides fall, this rates more like a mid 2.xx. I'm no weirdo.

Bottle - pours red with a fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet, vegetables, tart apples and spice. Taste is a confused mix of veg and spice...not keen on it.

Draft at the source. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie, caramel, spices. Taste is pumpkin, sweet potatoes, spices, caramel, yeast, cinnamon, maple. Sweet finish.

The Autumn Blaze Maple™ is a hybrid of two famous trees, the red and silver maples, and it soon surpassed them in looks and popularity. It captured the two trees' quality characteristics, such as brilliant red color, dense branching, and rapid growth rate. This is a clearly superior tree that you won't see in the big box stores for another 10 years.

Nice wine-style bottle, good label, schwartz pour. Spicy, molasses, slightly creosotic aroma. Cane syrup, smoky, maple, asphalt, spice. Interesting, pretty good. Almost a refined pumpkin beer. Market Square Liquors, Tallahassee.

Deep brown with tiny dirty white head. Spicy, caramel, syrup aromas, it really brings me the aromas of autumn leaves aromas with nice pumpkin accents. Light to moderate yeasty aromas. Taste is medium sweet. Odd, but nice one.

Barwa brunatna, piana biała trwała. Aromat i smak słodki, lekko owocowy, przypomina jabłka/gruszki w karmelu z cynamonem, melasa.

(Bottle) Pours clear red brown with big dense white head. Great aroma with ester banana dominant and peppery hints. Great palate - soft, full bodied, slightly sticky with plenty of gentle carbonation. Unusual and enjoyable taste. There’s rich caramel, peppery spice, alcohol bite. There’s a good balance between sweet and bitter with both being strongly present. Excellent unusual beer.
