Hazy orange - amber beer with a big fluffy white head. Light crispy palate. Delicious fresh orange and pink grapefruit which has a bitter follow through. Touch of aniseed. Whisper of creamy oak. A little creamy malt. Finishes semi dry with a carbonated sting. Comes across as more IPA than Tripel but who cares? Great beer! A little more oak and this would have been up in the stratosphere.

A: The beer pours a slightly hazed golden orange color with a big white head. S: Smells "Belgian" at first. Lots of banana and spices coming through. There is a nice bit of sweet bready malt and candi sugar. A fair bit of citrus and even some mild vanilla. A bit of yeast in there, too. T: Sweet malt and candi sugar really dominate the flavor. There is some citrus to the beer, but not as much as I picked up on the aroma. Somewhat bitter, especially for a Belgian beer. Lots of different fruit notes as well as some light yeast. M: The body is medium and the carbonation is medium to high. O: I really liked the aroma of this beer, but the flavor didnt do as much for me. The bitterness really threw me off.
