A steady pour into my Bruery tulip produces a one-finger thick, light purple tinged, tan colored head. The beer is a nice red-plum color and shows a lightly hazed, deep red stained golden hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells amply of fruit and acidity; bright berry notes, tannic berry skin and a sort of peppery-woody note that blueberries can have is quite noticeable, and there is also a fair amount of lactic acidity noticeable in the nose. There is a solid oak character to the nose as well, definitely woody, fairly spicy, and with a pale toast accentuating character; this last plays up a toasted pale grain, sort of cracker like malt character; the malt character actually becomes more noticeable and a touch fuller as it warms up.PhillyCraft (8202) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 28, 2013
Woody oak flavors and lactic acidity dominate at the front of my first sip, while the acidity and oak get softer through to the finish, there are still the dominant note here, but a touch of rounded blueberry flavors get through as well. Sour blueberries, tannic blueberry skin, and even just a general, expressive, tart berry character is quite noticeable in the flavor. The beer has an astringency and bite to it that seems mostly oak derived, and the acidity itself provides quite a bite to the finish; this is definitely a sour beer. This has a solid, effervescent, prickly carbonation to it that pairs well with both the tartness (accentuating), and the light body (complimentary); the body has a touch of lactic and oak fullness to it, but this remains light and drinkable if you like sour beers. The blueberry notes become a bit more noticeable as the beer warms up; it lends a sort of floral quality to the beer up front, but there is a lingering, distinctly blueberry flavor in the finish as well; the last really lingers on the palate.
Not bad, actually pretty nice, I could wish for the blueberry to be a touch more distinct, but as the beer warms up it is definitively here. This beer is nicely sour, which is good for someone like me that enjoys that, but it is definitely a touch on the hard side. Definitely a beer to be drunk on the warmer side of cool.
Bottle from Bill, Pours crimson red, light head. Taste is super tart, acidic cherry and blueberry. Aroma is same with oak, vanilla, and tart fruit. Medium body. Really puckery taste, nose is musky and vanilla beaned out yo. sebletitje (10500) - Enghien, BELGIUM - SEP 28, 2013
Bouteille 75cl, merci Pierre.
Good. Pours a purple hue, pinkish white head. Aroma of sour raspberry and a little oak. Taste is berries, sour, a little acidic, big up-front cranberry and raspberry, but ends weak. Disappointed on the blueberry aspect of this, because I didn’t pick much of those flavors up. Decent. Very clean and crisp brew. vtafro (7451) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Draft. Pink ruby pour with white head. Nice raspberry sour flavor, not overly sour. Aroma is tart fruit, nice light oak and funky tones.

Pours a purple/blue pour with off white head. Great flavors of blueberries and sour goodness. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - AUG 28, 2013
From the bottle. Light purple pour with a small white head. Aroma of blueberries. Tart and sourness and tasty as hell! crossovert (14152) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Purple pour, super acidic brew, like a mother funker, I like it, weird funk medicinal flavor if you take too big of a gulp, a sipper. Huhzubendah (3775) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 18, 2013
New blueberry sour from Hoarder’s Society 2013. How exciting. Split with the wife and enjoyed with some old school Star Trek. That’s how I roll.
The beer is purple ish blue with a foamy pink head. Violent hissing as the head fizzles away to nil. The aroma brings wild yeast, funk, blueberries. Puckering with a bit of an acetic bite in the finish. Nice blueberry presence, though I could always use more blueberries. Agressive in terms of sourness and tartness. Overall, another solid offering from The Bruery. Warped_Silver (124) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Pours blue/purple with thin head that lingers. Aroma is acidic with very mild blueberry. Taste is quite sour, mild hint of blueberry. Very mild acetic taste. Thin mouthfeel. Tartness lingers on the finish. Overall, decent but far from the their best sour
