Bottle. Aroma of spice, ginger, clove and banana. I got a strong banana flavor at first. Lots of ginger bread spice, caramel and vanilla. A nice holiday beer.
Pours a cloudy mahogany-brown color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lace on the glass. The aroma consists of bourbon, dark fruit, spice and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, fruit, cinnamon, yeast and malt. The finish is boozy with a bourbon and spiced fruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall. kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUN 24, 2017
Barrel aging improves this dark ruby beer by adding additional notes of vanilla and oak complexity. Still plenty of alcohol punch despite its age. Tmoney99 (15138) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 2, 2017
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy ruby brown color with a large fizzy brown head that was mostly diminished with fair lacing. Aroma was as complex heavy spicy nutmeg and wood. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice dark sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish with medium to long alcohol bite. Interesting good brew. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 14, 2016
