Taster at Bruery tasting room. Aroma and flavor of a light, roasty malt. Not too much hop character, but why would there be? Anyway, it supposedly has 20% Black Tuesday...idk, maybe.

Tap at The Bruery. Poured a deep, clear amber with mega head retention and thick lacing. Nose is chocolate, fudge, autumn spice, blackcurrant. Taste is bittersweet playoff, blackcurrant, prune, chocolate, malted milk ball, oatmeal and rye thickness and silkiness. Bitter, balanced, clean. Draught at the Bruery. Nice dark brown with lace. Nose of chocolate, crap, vanilla, roasted malts. Sweet chocolate and funk flavor, with a very bitter, roasted finish. OK. JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JUL 20, 2012
I had this on tap at the Bruery in Placentia. It was roasty but had a slightly sweet element to it that you don’t see in brown ales

Pours a very dark brown, almost black color with an off-white head. Nice roasted malt on the nose with some chocolate, faint vanilla, a light nuttiness, and some toast. Sweet toasted malt with a definite roastiness. Light chocolate note in the background, some nuttiness, and a hint of bitterness, banana, and vanilla.
