Pours a very dark brown, almost black color with an off-white head. Nice roasted malt on the nose with some chocolate, faint vanilla, a light nuttiness, and some toast. Sweet toasted malt with a definite roastiness. Light chocolate note in the background, some nuttiness, and a hint of bitterness, banana, and vanilla.

Dogbrick (13407) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 31, 2012
Sample at Bruery Provisions. The beer pours a dark brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing. The aroma is malty with some roasted nut and hop notes. Medium-bodied with a roasty character of malt and nuts plus some mild hops. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste. Decent overall.

slowrunner77 (12471) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
"A low abv Black Tuesday blend/2nd runnings type brew. Not bad if you don’t have it side by side with bigger beers. Actually a pretty pleasant brown with slight hints of caramel, chocolate and bourbon, and a roasted malt presence that Black Tuesday lacks."

Tap at The Bruery. Poured a deep, clear amber with mega head retention and thick lacing. Nose is chocolate, fudge, autumn spice, blackcurrant. Taste is bittersweet playoff, blackcurrant, prune, chocolate, malted milk ball, oatmeal and rye thickness and silkiness. Bitter, balanced, clean. Very good.
