Opened 11/10/13. Pours murky reddish brown. Big oak on the nose with a hint of sweetness. Big and sweet and boozy on the palate. A touch of coconut sweetness and white chocolate. Enjoyable as a one time beer, but too sweet overall. wheresyourball (575) - El Cajon, California, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Bottle to tulip. Pours a hazy orange brown with a small white head. Nose is booze, brown sugar, vanilla, chocolate. Flavor is pretty sweet with low carbonation; cacao, coconut, bourbon, oak and some sour citrus notes in there. Unique. Haslinger (1000) - The World of Beer, Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2013
750mL waxed bottle from The Bruery. Thanks kegbear for sharing this one. Interesting bourbony boozey aroma with some coconut. Taste is a bit more fruity than expected especially in the finish. Solid beer but not my favorite fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Bottle from The Bruery poured into a snifter a dark cloudy brown with a tan/white head that quickly dissipates.
Aroma of straight up barrel aged boozy with a bit of sourness?
Flavor is chocolate coconut with a heavy barrel aged flavor. Heavy booze tells me to age this puppy. The sourness tells me maybe oude tart or tart of darkness is here. LOVE.
Happy to have another 2 bottles to lay down & crack open down the road. This brew needs a little age but presently its nothing to shy away from... deekyn (1459) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 23, 2013
A- pours a hazy opaque brown with a weak dirty white head that quickly disappears. No lacing. S- BOOZE, strong macaroon, sugar, browned butter, vanilla, pecans, some cacao and a hint of German Chocolate cake. M- medium body with a medium sweet and sour palate. Mediocre carbonation. T- overwhelming alcohol, vanilla and sour lemon juice at first. Middle welcomes cacao, butter, nuttiness, coconut, bourbon and some oak qualities. Ending settles efficiently. Mostly remnants of alcohol, macaroon, more butter and bitter grasses.

15 oct 2013, tap at the Bruery. Brown, faintly murky. Nose is just like a macaroon. The coconut is more a contribution than an actual aroma milk chocolate is tamed by sugary macaroon filling. Med body and lightly fizzy. Sugary malt but more nutty and slightly tart. I hoped for more by the nose but it was still very good
