Poured a black color with aromas of chocolate and bourbon. Flavors are chocolate vanilla and bourbon. Big sweet, sticky, chocolaty, boozie, and diabetes all in one in a bottle. Split with my father in law one hell of a night cap.

Thick opaque brown, greasy light lacing. Full on bright boozy, coconut choc and nippy blackberry. There’s a lot but it’s quite a scramble. Bourbon features but lean and sweet beneath a burp of hot, boozy choc. Cloying enough but soft and creamy sweet for all the ABV going on. Finishes eases in some blackberry and dusty cacao linger. A lot, mostly delicious but fairly.

Bottle, Thanks GLASGOWTAD, TAD Tasting

Bottle, massive thanks to sir Tad of Glasgow. Black with tan head. Aroma smells of chocolate, vanilla, coconut, like bounty bars. Taste of chocolate, vanilla, coconut, some alcohol. Sweet and quite hot.

Pours a a deep brown with a light brown head, which soon disappears. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla and caramel. Taste is sweet molasses, cocoa powder, coconuts, vanilla and well-complimented bourbon notes. Full bodied with a rich mouthfeel.

Bottle at tad’s. Pours black, nose is chocolate, bourbon, coconut, vanilla, taste is similar, sweet, not that boozy.

Bottle shared by MisoW. Black body with nearly no tan head. Very rich aroma of chocolate and some vanilla and alcohol. Taste is sweet chocolate with some coffee and alcohol and hints of liquorice and hints of vanilla. Aftertaste is alcohol coffee chocolate. I usually don’t like to much alcohol but this was nice an ideal bottle to share.

Backlogged rating, Bottle share: Pretty much looks like every big bad Impy from Bruery, opaque with small head and oily tears. Huge chocolate covered boozy cherries candy and a bit of a white russian too. Roasted walnuts, charred barrel, touch of dark fruit and a hint of pepper. Rich and lush mouth feel that is cleansed by the massive alcohol. Another where even 2 ounces is hard to finish. Oh so sweet and decadent. Better than Mocha Wednesday but less than Black Tuesday or Gray Monday.

bottle shared by MisoW at Vienna Tasting 02/2015. Thanks Michal.black color, almost no head. very liquerish / alcoholic smell, smell of malty sweetness, chocolate (lots of). full body, very alcoholic, warming, chocolate, raisins, coconut dried fruits, heavy alcohol/warming finish. wow

Saeglopur (2216) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - FEB 15, 2015
750 ml bottle shared by MisoW. Thanks!
Dark brown body, with a tiny head.
Heavy, boozy aroma, with chocolate, coffee, liquorice, coconut, vanilla, dried fruits.
Taste also with a massive alcohol presence, but otherwise simply amazing, with the above mentioned aromas and more, complex sweet notes.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes quite smooth, alcohol warming, astringent.

Wow, amazing stuff! Drinks like a heavy, complex, dark chocolate liqueur. The alcohol is really overwhelming, but it still fits and gives the beer even more character. Couldn’t drink much of this, but enjoyed it big time!

Gurthnar (5923) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 14, 2015
Bottle. Aroma lots of chocolate, dried fruits, alcohol, very inviting. Relatively watery texture surprisingly. Very dark, dark brown head. Very rich taste, lots and lots of chocolate, coconut, dried fruits. Classic, rich, exquisite.
