COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re at it again with Old Father Time for a new Chronology Series™ - a Scotchology, if you will, with a base resembling a Scotch-style ale. In this installment, we brewed a wee heavy - known for rich, malt-forward flavors - and set it to age in bourbon barrels. Every six months, we’ll take a quarter of the barrels, blend them and bottle them. This first bottling represents the nuances imparted to the base beer after six months of barrel aging.

750 ml in. 3 way vertical, 6 month, 12 month, and 18. Dirty brown color, no head. Aroma is oak forward, bourbon, toffee. Flavor is a direct reflection but it mostly bourbon and oak. The bourbon is mellow but very warming after the sip. Kind of hot. Wow!

Opálos, vöröses szín. Habja alig van, az is gyorsan eltűnik. Édeskés ízvilág, erőteljesen érezhető bourbon. Nagyon erős, lassan iszogatós.

Bottle @ Bruery Bonanza 2017. Hazy brown pour with a frothy tan head. Caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, hay, prunes & bourbon. Sweet & malty taste. Round mouth. Nothing too complex but I like it. BA goodness.

Bottle from the rotbox. Moderately strong vanilla and wood. Pleasant booze. Light pepper. Taste is hugely paper oxidation. Watery. Not pleasant. Oxidation kills this in a major bad way.

Juks (1296) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 27, 2017
750ml bottle, thanks Harri. Pours hazy dark caramely reddish colour, small beige head stays as ring. Prunes, vanilla, raisins, malts, sharp bourbon in aroma. Taste is sweet, caramely, salty, mildly smoky, boozy, bourbon. Whiskey and booze in aftertaste. Medium to full bodied, soft carbo. Warming brew for cold winter night, bit too much alcoholy taste.

Marduk (8832) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAY 27, 2017
750ml bottle (thanks Harri). Clear dark chestnu color. Tiny to almost no head. Alcohol, caramel, sweet, raisins, plums, vanilla, cognac, blooms in aroma. Almonds, caramel, raisins, plums, alcohol, sweetish in taste. Quite boozy and sweetish and woody in aftertaste. Boozy and sweet. I’m surprised that I like it.
