Bottle shared by John, thanks man! Pour is deep, cloudy ruby/ brown, with a small tan head. Aroma is musky with notes of toffee, deep worty malt, faint whisky barrel, and a touch of old basement. This does smell like an old beer, but it’s probably not. flavor is rich toffee malt with loads of smooth vanilla, and fint cocnut. Also a hint of cobwebs. Very nice cool weather sipper.
Bottle, as "Saule". Light brown color with beige head. Aroma pops with bourbon and toffee, follows with fudge and dried fruits, mostly dates. Taste has sweet fruity notes like dates and figs, bourbon, brown sugar and some booze. Medium body and carbonation. Complex, tasty and a bit boozy. Pallleon (470) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 4, 2017
Homályos barna szín, gyorsan eltűnő hab. Cukros, bourbonos aroma. Erdei gyümölcsös, vaníliás, bourbonos ízvilág. Ütős. Goodgrief (2059) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - OCT 23, 2017
On tap at Pinocchio's as "Saule". Dark tea like color. Lots of grains of yeasties. Like liquid brown sugar in bourbon. Rich. Glad the glass was small, even though it's tasty. Mariox (337) - Warsaw, POLAND - OCT 14, 2017
(The bruery Saule) W aromacie świetne ciemne owoce, słodowo-karmelowa słodycz. W smaku dość słodkie z bardzo fajnym finiszem. Alkohol dobrze ukryty jak na voltage. Całkiem treściwe. Bardzo fajne piwo. Oakes (18851) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 12, 2017
Light brown. Very sweet, honey, bourbons, sticky, big boozy finish, too.A bit too simple for a beer so big, and certainly not hitting the old ale character.
