Beer Jumction, Seattle. Small draft pour. Nice ring foam. Thick, heavy brown. Whoa, this is a big heavy beer. Toffee nougat. Distinct alcohol note, cherry like, on nose and finish. Creamy, heavy syrup. Plenty of bite. This beer is an experience. Hazelnut is present but under the weight of the alcohol and stout. Fascinating and nice. bytemesis (8226) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 14, 2016
Bottle , 2013 vintage. Pours clear black, small tan head, some lacing. Aroma is rich vanilla bourbon hazelnut cocoa. Flavor is the same pretty sweet, light plus bitter, rich hazelnut spread with a bourbon vanilla overtone. Medium plus body, kinda hot overall, but a really nice desert sipper. Glad to have shared it with friends. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - SEP 4, 2016
Bottle: 2013 vintage: Served in a taster:
Almost black with hardly a head
Nose of chocolate, nuts, sweet roast, rum, bourbon, light vanilla...
Flavours of mocha, toffee, sweet roast, molasses, vanilla, nuts, light alcohol burn...
Aftertaste sweet, roast, vanilla, molasses...
Low carbo, light burning mouthfeel, close to full bodied. Nice. gregwilsonstl (2466) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 20, 2016

Black with a very small brown head, quickly dissipating into nothing. Aroma is malty with caramel, figs, raisins, dark sugar, chocolate, slight boozy warming bourbon and very light notes of nuts.
Taste is sweet, malty, slight boozy. Finish is warming bourbon alcohol , sweet caramel, raisins, dark sugars, slight sugary. Full bodied, soft carbonation.
Very nice, warming yet smooth, not a lot of hazelnuts though.
A: Deep dark brown with a thin off white lacing. N: Chocolate, liqourice, hint of hazelnut, port wine T: Milk chocolate, vanilla, hint of hazelnut. O: Verry smooth and nice mouthfeel. Heavy alcohol to it, but still very nice! Mark_Eck (1921) - - AUG 13, 2016

750 ml bottle shared with drsordr (also a few other times from notes). Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have big sweet malts, caramel, molasses, chocolate, some hazelnut manages to sneak through, bourbon, dark fruit, boozy, big beer. RodeaGueuze (11) - - JUL 19, 2016
Very good, not great. My third favorite hazelnut beer, after Nooner 8 and Nutuhlu. It’s a bit thin and sweet like all Bruery beers, but the flavors are nice.

As a wise man once said: "it’s my most favouriteist" ;)
Huge beer, thick mouthfeel, well hidden alcohol, loads of hazelnuts, bourbon, silky smooth vanilla and with that perfect soft summer abv.
