COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An invitation to join The Bruery Hoarders Society is the ultimate nod in how far you’ve come in your craft beer journey. Each year as a member, you get access to some of the most elusive and exclusive beers (such as this) and one-of-a-kind experiences, like going toe-to-toe with your peers in blending sessions exclusive to Hoarders. This Cuvee is the icing on the cake - literally - as it took top honors in the Hoarders Cuvee blending tournament to be produced by The Bruery in 2016. Featuring a nearly equal blend of our most storied bourbon barrel-aged beers - Black Tuesday and our anniversary ale - with additions of raspberries, vanilla beans and cacao nibs, this beer was designed by Hoarders Society member, Paul Moore, and his teammate, Luis Barriga, to embody the ultimate cupcake. It’s the first fruited beer of its kind out of The Bruery, and a fitting release for the first installment in the newly minted Hoarders Cuvee series.

GlasgowTAD (2008) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - DEC 2, 2017
Bottle big thanks to Andre! Pours deep burgundy with a fast effervesving offwhite head. Aroma is huge soft caramel, vanilla, dark jammy fruit. Taste is jammy fruit sweet, caramel sweet, molasses sweet, raspberry sweet, slight brandy-ish heat, vanilla sweet. Medium body with a thin-ish mouthfeel. If the body was more syrupy it’d be perfect.

Obtained in a trade with AdamChandler. 750 ml. bottle shared. Very dark brown to black, mocha head. Nose is massive alcohol, straight-up vodka mixed with very sweet raspberry, more candy filling than actual fruit & sweet chocolate, raspberry sweetness jam is surprisingly massive in the taste. The alcohol hits you instantly, this feels even boozier than it is, you immediately feel it, you get the huge vodka-like alcohol, then the sweet vanilla candy, candy raspberry jam filling to the max, straight-up cookies here, candy, caramel, sweet chocolate, pure candy & I get past the brutally alcoholic finish. Really enjoyed it, too bad that it lacks body, it felt way too thin for what it is. Still really nice.

Aminatchime (255) - BELGIUM - NOV 12, 2017

kraddel (9428) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 12, 2017
Thnx to 77Ships. very dark brown with a red glow. Good white head with an instant fade. Smell is wood, fruit, bourbon... Really a clash of aroma's, not working all to well for me. Taste is full, sharp, intense raspberries with a sweet, roasty, bourbon, boozy, oaky ending. very very intense. Boozy. Medium mf ( had hoped for more ) nice, but too alcoholic, and I would have expected a thicker beer.

0,05l from bottle at mbcc green session shared by the crew, big thanks for this one. bourdeaux like color, no head. smells of berry notes, light wood, bit earthy, raspberries, light vanilla. very nice smell. full body, very light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of berry notes, raspberries, some vanilla, wood, some sweetness, molasses. finishes lightly sweet with notes of raspberries, wood and some vanilla notes. very very nice one, rather heavy, but booze is well hidden. good stuff. 8, 4, 9, 4, 16

brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 29, 2017
On tap @ The Bruery. A mix of black and rust colored beers, it would seem, without much in the way of foam. This beer definitely shows it’s strength, which a lot of the other high boost Bruery offerings do a good job of hiding. Big chocolate, coconut, booze, vanilla, and caramel. Has a fair amount of dark fruit quality to it as well, notable fig, plum, and grape. Kind of a twangy, boozy finish to it.
