(Growler) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of mustiness, grass, grain, some tropical fruit notes, and pine. Flavor of grain, herbs, grass, pine, and citrus with a dry, bitter finish. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Gift from SJ. This was good. Some grapefruit / citrus, some hop, some caramel and grain. It was a solid brew with a good blend of ingredients. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - APR 16, 2011
Taster at provisions. Rating #14. Hazy straw yellow pour with a nice white head. Very hoppy aroma, smells like old hops actually. Big hop flavor as well, light sweetness, very nice. (1640) brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 1, 2011
A: The pour is quite hazy and turbid, just like many of the Bruery’s other beers. The head is about a finger tall and white in color without great retention.
S: Smells like hops more than anything. Lots of fresh grapefruit and some definite grass and straw qualities. There’s a touch of cooked corn in there and a mild sweetness. A big vegetal at points.
T: A mild sweetness: nowhere near what I’m accustomed to with beers of the malt liquor variety. Decently citrusy with some of that grapefruit character. Grass and hints of light fruits. A mild bitterness from the hops.
M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation to it.
D: This was actually not bad. Sort of like a sweeter and less awesome batch of Humulus lager (of one of the other humulus beers, perhaps). paultheguru (644) - Parker, Colorado, USA - OCT 2, 2011
on tap, pours a very hazy pale yellow, white head. big citrus notes, with a big alcohol burn. nice flavor, boozy, hoppy to all hell, but the burn kind of killed it for me. I see where they were going but it could have been more subtle on the aftertaste.

Bottle at an RB/BA tasting. Colour.... actually rather similar to urine when you have too much vitamin B! Nose... well..... urine again, and rotten corn. Suffices to say I was unsure about tasting this stuff! Palate... Oh, my! This is a nice surprise after the opener! Delightfully bitter with a hoppy dryness and waves of peach and apricot. On the back of the palate, cut straw and creamed sweet corn come in and then finish off with a sort of malt liquor-like flavour. A decent ending after a rocky start!
