Golden pour with a white head. Huge pepper aroma. Spicy, but still very fruity. Light earthiness, green pepper skin, grapefruit, and pine. Light malt sweetness, maybe some tropical notes. The flavor is just too hot for me to really enjoy much of this. Tons of habanero, fruity hops, grapefruit, and pine bitterness. Pretty spicy, but good pepper flavors. I’d rather just have a glass of regular Humulus Lager, though. thome50 (1295) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - MAY 5, 2013
On tap at the May 5th, 2013 ClusterFork. Pour a clear golden with big white head. Aroma is a blast of habanero fruit, citrus, mango and some slight smoke. Taste is a fresh habanero fruit with a slight citrus IPA to follow. This really works well. The heat really comes on and I can understand a lot of people not liking this component but it really played well to my palate. Overall, having this a few months back I wasn’t impressed. This batch is dialed in and super impressive. Just took over the lead for the best pepper beer I’ ve ever had. Nice job!
