At Mekong...delicious hops taste and smell. My first IPL experience. Very good drink ! Clownoisseur (482) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - MAY 2, 2014
On tap at The Bruery. Pour was a rather clear yellow-gold. Thin white head, good lacing. Aromas of fresh flowers, light pine, some light citrus and tropical fruits. Very nice. The lagered yeast gave a slightly sweet smell, but wasn’t in your face. Taste is very light bodied but full-flavored. The alcohol content could easily creep up on the unsuspecting drinker. More floral hops with a slight resin follow a light malt backbone into a crisp citrusy finish. Excellent beer for the style....for any beer actually. kathouse (1890) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUN 14, 2014
A very drinkable lager. Nice combination of hops and malts. Hops shine here and the flavors of citrus and malt are complimentary. A nice session ale. hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - OCT 13, 2009
on tap 8/26/2009 at papago.
hazy pour? of golden orange-ish brown with a small white head and sticky spots of lace.
what a strange nose... pithy grapefruit, florals, bitter (how can i smell bitter?!), earth, a weird dustiness, spice, herbs and cardamom.
the flavor is massively hoppy... herbaceously odd yet delicious!... eucalyptus/earthy menthol, cardamom, tons of spice, citrus and resin with a touch of sweet grain and a bitter finish. crazy hoppy... numbingly so!
it has a substantial medium body yet it is so bitter and parching... making it all to easy to order another.9/5/8/4/16/4.2 iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - MAY 1, 2010
Tap at Verdugo. Clear golden with a one finger off-white head, fading to a creamy film before long. Aroma of hops--dry-hopped to high heaven with them! Citrus, herbal, pineapple and pine hops all up in here, and lovely. The flavor is much the same--citrus and pineapple dominating with the herbal dry-hop notes following, also has some moderate dank weed notes. Not much in the malt realm. Finishes dry with lots of bitterness, peaking at a 7 and lingering. No trace of alcohol noted. Light body with moderate prickly carbonation. A most excellent hop bomb.

First beer since returning from MI/RBSG. Growler fill from t0rin0. Thanks! Pours a chill hazed gold, white head. Nose is straight up west coast. Dank, piney and citrusy, all rolled into one with the malt nowhere to be seen. Nice cattiness, likely some Simcoe in there. On taste, bitter and clean. I don’t know if I necessarily believe it is brewed with a lager strain as some nice fruity esters do come out. Really tastes quite cali ale. Bitter finish. Pretty outstanding stuff. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 25, 2010
sample from the pitcher @ GABF on 9/18/10. light golden pour with a 1/4" white head. big dank hop nose with citrus and floral notes. medium body with a solid citrus bitterness with some tropical fruit notes. bitter finish with a touch of malt. this is one hoppy lager! illidurit (2340) - San Francisco, California, USA - AUG 9, 2011
On tap at burger. in Santa Cruz. Pours a brassy orange with a thick white froth. Smells like lawn trimmings, but in a good way. Lots of grass, pine needles, and unripe grapefruit. Flavor is based on crackery malts with a big grassy hop explosion. Light bitter grapefruit in the finish. Dry and very herbal but avoids astringency. A tiny bit of malt sweetness comes through at the end. Palate is light, refreshing and dry. A great lager, very satisfying. miguelblanco (13) - Virginia, USA - SEP 17, 2012
Medium bubble avg dissipating head. Amber - like a lager. Hoppy nose. Hoppier than the sterling version. Citrusy hoppy flavor that lingers on the tongue.

Draft at the Birch. Golden amber with a sticky but thin top. Drinks with a definite resin-heavy hop assertiveness, but is exceptionally easy going and drinkable. The 7% ABV is somewhat evident, but not overpowering. Excellent. (#4974, 4/6/2013)
