Clear golden. Pear, peach fruitiness but not bad. Light body for the size of beer. Pineapple, peach...kind of sweet, fruity accent. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Pours a clear yellow color. Aroma is a bit floral with citrus notes. Taste is floral and citrus as well. Overall very refreshing but not very complex at all. nimbleprop (8708) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 6, 2011
750ml bottle pours a hazy, deep gold with a frothy, white head. Nose is grassy, booze, candy sugar, herbs, medicinal. Flavor is sweet, ginger, yeast, coriander, lemon peel. Full bodied, herbal finish. A little weird, too many no beer flavors. nightrider (754) - encinitas, California, USA - MAY 21, 2011
This rating comes from a pour from the bottle after a few previous tastings at the brewery and a growler fill. Nice golden copper color. The nose is about fruit and yeast. Pears, apples. Flavors of honey, pepper, and spice. Medium bodied with a touch of heat. This beer resembles a good chardonnay in my book. Balanced finish. I like this beer. Bottled. Ordered from www.erzbierschof.ch. I didn’t really enjoy this beer unfortunately. Interesting ingredients.

Pours a rich golden hue with a good head. Smells almost pungent with different fruits and corriander, The aroma lingers giving you time to debate what all is in there. There is a lot going on in this beer. It was medium body and I was left with a little aftertaste.. Took some getting used to but the more I drank the more I liked it . dmac (6429) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - OCT 11, 2009
750 ml bottles...Impy provided by padrefan98, thanks Jon, the regular purchased at EZ Liquors. Both beers poured very similar looking with the Impy being just a shade darker.....both had huge bright white rocky heads that left nice lace and had some serious lasting power and the Impy was more of a darker orange/amber body while the regular was more of a yellow/brown body. Aroma on the regular was lots and lots of pepper white and black, spices, cloves and some band aid notes. The Impy had more of a sweetness about it with a big nod to fruit including apricott and peach, bubblegum, mint, and to a lesser extent pepper and wheat. The palate was the same on both with a medium body and a good dose of carbonation. The flavor on the regular was wheat, grass, flowers, lavender upon warming (or upon reading about it that you psycosymatic sensory perseptions) and was just lighter and more delicate all around compared to the Impy. The Impy was actually sweeter and the pepper was far lighter then the aroma implied with additional notes of wheat, mint and earth. Both bottles were very different from each other and both actually very enjoyable. pineypower (3347) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - OCT 11, 2009
Bottle thanks to Dmac had side by side with the non-imperial. Pours a nice golden color with a big rocky head. Slight sweetness with some nice fruity notes and yeast. Definitely a fuller body than the original. Less spice on the taste than the original, but this has more fruity sweetness and the lavender also makes and appearance in there like the original. Well done. SuzyGreenberg (1603) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 13, 2009
growler - thanks riverside!! side by side with the base version; slightly darker in color and clearer; thin white head; less apple flavors with more coriander and pepper; more body and lovely fruit-juicy flavors; slight zing on the finish and very tasty craftycarl21 (2339) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 10, 2009
750 ml bottle, thanks to oteyj. Pours an intensely fizzy pour, tons of carbonation in the head, with a dark gold coloration to the liquid. Aroma holds yeast, grain, spice, floral notes, orange, and lemon- quite nice and complex on this front. Flavor’s predominant notes are flowers, particularly lavender, and a bigger and more full version of the spices found in the aroma. Secondary tier of flavors includes citrus, wheat, and a bit of peach. Palate is very carbonated, and quite light, but not in a bad way; refreshing. Very nice witbier.
