Bottle from the Hoarders membership, sampled on 9/3/17. Pours hazy brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bourbon and slight chocolate. Malt, caramel and chocolate flavor giving way to a boozy finish with slight oaky spice and dark fruit. rxeight (3281) - Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2017
750ml. Dark brown/ black pour. Cocoa powder, oak, bourbon, molasses. SHIT and mash seem to dominate in this. Not nearly as boozy as some of the Tuesday or Anniversary based blends. Fin (10972) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2017
Bottle picked up from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye, Powys, consumed at Moira Furnace Folk Festival, Moira, Leics/Derby’ border. Saturday 19th August 2017, shared with dad. As Toni pointed out this tastes of bourbon, I think she actually assumed it was bourbon. I have to say you get very little else, it’s bourbon all the way, it’s boozy, bourbony and a bit of a mess. However dad likes it which is good. It cost me quite a lot of money, I am a bit disappointed, actually a lot disappointed.
