COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Melange #3 is a blend of three bourbon barrel aged strong ales. White Oak Sap, a wheat wine, our Anniversary Series old ale and our imperial stout, Black Tuesday, join forces in this luxurious strong ale that links some of the best characteristics of each of the contributing beers. Chocolate, dark fruits, oaky vanilla and rich toffee-like character reach through the bourbon veneer for an intensely satisfying quaff.

Poured from 750mL bottle (bottled 01/26/2017 - ABV 16.3%). Dark brown with beige head. Lots of bourbon and oak with caramel malt and dried fruit, some hints of chocolate and vanilla. Very good; the only criticism I have is that it's a tiny bit too boozy.

Pite w domu, butelka.

alteregoo (1871) - Kalisz, POLAND - FEB 4, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2018 Piana nieduża, sycząca, szybko znika. Barwa rubinowo miedziana, klarowna. W aromacie piękna beczka z dominującą waniliną, kokosem i bourbonem, do tego karmel, melasa, rodzynki, wino... Klasa! W smaku równie intensywnie i przyjemnie - suszone owoce, melasa, ciemny miód, porto, sherry, wanilia, whisky... Jest słodko, wyklejająco, z niedużą, ziołową goryczką, sporym rozgrzewaniem od destylatu na finiszu. Wysycenie średnie do niskiego, grube, półpełne w odbiorze.
Fajne, choć do pełni szczęścia nieco za rzadkie i zbyt alkoholowe, zwłaszcza po ogrzaniu spiryt zabija. Profilowo podobne do Mélange #15 oraz do Saule.

Bottled:
Pours brown with a small head. Aroma is Bourbon, brown sugar, plums, maple syrup and alcohol. Taste is quite sweet and has notes of Bourbon, brown sugar, maple syrup and hot booze.
Pretty good, but beers this strong should come in smaller bottles.

Taste: intense, boozy, complex, oak, bourbon wine, warming finish. Same with the nose. Dark mahogany hue, mostly clear, light n head some sticky lace on glass.Full body. A heavy hitter for a cold winter day.

Murky brown color, small brown head. Sediments. Aromas of dried fruit, bourbon, alcohol, sugar, wheat and caramel with vinous and tart hints. Sweet taste with bourbon, caramel, candi sugar, alcohol, raisins, dried figs, arrack and slight vinous hints. Very complex but slightly unbalanced.

backlog: z tego co pamiętam chyba najlepsze Bruery jakie piłem, czekolady płyn z ciemnymi owocami i bourbonem, wszystko perfekcyjnie ułożone i gęste, jak oni ukryli ten alkohol?

Bottle from trade with kmyers8807, the first trade we did, so the bottle is vintage 2012 at the very latest. 15%. Many thanks buddy! So, very old but has been cellared under good conditions. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Aroma is malty with dark fruit, licorice, oak. Taste: toffee, fudge, maple syrup, malty, oak, vanilla, milk chocolate, dried fruits, light herbal. Balanced and very tasty. You certainly feel the aging, but also that the beer can handle it.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2018 Murky brown color, small mocha head. Aromas of dried fruit, bourbon, alcohol, sugar, wheat and caramel with vinous and tart hints. Taste is very sweet, slight vinous with a tartness that feels misfit.

Muggus69 (2831) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - DEC 31, 2017
750mL bottle from Carwyn Cellars, Melbourne Deeep bronze body with dense tan head. Aroma is proper immense - vegemite, molasses, dried figs & prunes, black fruits, chococolate, dark toffee, insane. Thick, chewy, low carb, warming, almost hot, very big! So intense - so much rich toffee/caramel, burnt things, black dried fruits - figs, dates, lots of prunes, burnt vanilla, over-the-top bourbon coconut boozey Malibu, creme de cacao - it's a bit of a chaotic mess that is sort of so awesome that it works. Needs a lot of time to settle down!
