COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Melange #3 is a blend of three bourbon barrel aged strong ales. White Oak Sap, a wheat wine, our Anniversary Series old ale and our imperial stout, Black Tuesday, join forces in this luxurious strong ale that links some of the best characteristics of each of the contributing beers. Chocolate, dark fruits, oaky vanilla and rich toffee-like character reach through the bourbon veneer for an intensely satisfying quaff.

This vintage 16.3% ... pours a deep amber color with a thin off white head and light sticky lacing .... aroma of grain and booze, definite attributes of the anno brew barleywine toffee, caramel malts, toasted malts, some chocolate and roasted malts with dark fruity and tart fruits .... taste is much more of a grainy and fruity barleywine, toffee, caramel malts, toasted malts, chocolate malts, roasted malt and dark fruits with tartness to it as well .... dry oak with light bourbon but mostly vanilla .... finishes dry with lots of dark fruit, toffee and vanilla with dry oak and bourbon .... very boozy and very barleywine.... not much Black Tuesday in here .... great beer nonetheless

Complex, spicy, alcoholic but not too sweet. Coconut, bourbon, oak, vanilla, dark fruit jam, chococake, rich caramel. Has that old, quality and nostalgic feel. One of my personal favorites and one of the best liquids one can drink.

0.75L bottle; 16.3% ABV; brown colour, minimal beige head; aroma of caramel, vanilla, bourbon notes, herbal liqueur, dried fruits like plum, figs and raisins, as well as walnut, slight soy sauce and intensive spicy alcohol; taste is basically the same with syrupy sweetness; excellent ’beer’

Bottle shared by Jimmy. Poured an ugly, muddy brown, smaller foamy beige head. Aroma is BOOZE, bourbon, butter scotch, melted light old sweet chocolates, grains. Body is big, strong fizzy carbonation, lots of heat. Flavor is raisin skins, bourbon, wood, wet toast, hint of chocolate. This beer is just obscenely huge.

750 ml bottle. 16.3%. Pours a deep brown with light head. Aromas of candi sugar, toffee, dark fruit led by raisins, green oak, and sweet malts. Rich flavors of same with additional woody chocolate and coconut Hot. Beer liqueur. Expensive but worth it.

On tap @ Ginger Man. A deep deep dark ruby brown one with a small sidesticking little film of a head. Smells amazing. Loaded with dates, dark fruity sweetness, caramel, vanilla, wood, Spices, a little bit of Kahlua coffee and some alcohol. Sweet nectar in my mouth. Loaded with sweetness, dark woody slightly mouthdrying flavors. So concentrated and flavorful! It has a good thick oily mouthfeel and a average carbonation level. Some alcohol here bur surprisingly well masked for the ABV, slightly stingy and prickling on the tongue. Nutty, more Kahlua traces (more mellow than the aroma). Wonderful flavors here. Want to drink much more if this, but I probably shouldn’t. 19.06.2013
