COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Melange #3 is a blend of three bourbon barrel aged strong ales. White Oak Sap, a wheat wine, our Anniversary Series old ale and our imperial stout, Black Tuesday, join forces in this luxurious strong ale that links some of the best characteristics of each of the contributing beers. Chocolate, dark fruits, oaky vanilla and rich toffee-like character reach through the bourbon veneer for an intensely satisfying quaff.

25oz bottle. I’ve had this on multiple occassions, but decided to review it for the 11 vintage. Pours a super dark hue, no color transparency, decent carbonation white head. Aromas are potent cherry, raspberry, chocolate, roasted malty deliciousness. Palate is balanced malty fruit up front with the cocoa and a nice tart chocolate through the mid to the finish. Crazy offering that actually works, I feel like it shouldn’t but I keep coming back for more. Excellent.

750mL bottle from Carwyn Cellars, Melbourne Deeep bronze body with dense tan head. Aroma is proper immense - vegemite, molasses, dried figs & prunes, black fruits, chococolate, dark toffee, insane. Thick, chewy, low carb, warming, almost hot, very big! So intense - so much rich toffee/caramel, burnt things, black dried fruits - figs, dates, lots of prunes, burnt vanilla, over-the-top bourbon coconut boozey Malibu, creme de cacao - it's a bit of a chaotic mess that is sort of so awesome that it works. Needs a lot of time to settle down!

Bottle share in Lodz. Aroma is toffee, caramek, barrel notes, vanilla. Taste is caramel, raisins, wood, chocolate, figs. Alcohol is a bit disturbing.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2017 Complex, velvety, rich, smooth. The taste of all three beers can be found in this beer. Clear bourbon and oak. Heavy to drink. Good. Very good.

LCI. Uit de fles geschonken. Overheerlijke bourbon BA old ale: bourbon, pruimen, chocola.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2017
Dark brown color. Malty aroma, fruity esters, candies, banana, and huge alcohol. It appears to be quite messy.
I can drink it, but it's overpriced.

The best of the Bruerys I've tried. Alcohol level on spot (kind of noble). Heavy on bourbon notes, marzipan, toffee or caramel. Impressive.

A pour from the bottle on Black Christmas V. Pours a hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma is bourbon and some candied fruits. Similar taste with lots of fruity notes. Nice.
