Tap at the brewery. Rating #11. Golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma was light fruit and some hops. Flavor was light, a bit malty, more citrus notes, not bad. (1024) nickd717 (4772) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 12, 2009
On tap at The Bruery. Mostly clear golden-yellow color with a medium-sized white head and great lacing. Aroma is pale malt, wheat, citrusy hops, and some slight oxidative notes. Flavor is wheaty and a little sweet with pale malt and grains as well as mild oxidation and fresh citrusy hops. This is almost like a wheat IPA and I can’t believe it weighs in at 8.5%. Drinkability is dangerously high. Belgian Strong Ale seems like an odd category for this, but I guess even The Bruery describes it as such. Palate is medium-light and refreshing with soft carbonation. wetherel (1888) - Cupertino, California, USA - SEP 12, 2009
On tap at the Bruery. Wow, lots of grapefruit hop aroma. Nice aroma. Orange amber color. Taste is OK too. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - SEP 6, 2009
Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Cereal grain and caramel aroma and taste with some citrus notes through out. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - AUG 28, 2009
On tap at the Bruery. Poured a clear golden/yellow color. Aroma of crisp malt (wheat) and yeast with a bit of light tartness. Some spice. Flavor was the same; quite crisp with a bit more citrus/fruit and spice notes. Just ok by their standards.

On tap at The Bruery. Pours a clear golden color with a white film. Aroma is soft citrus, some spice and a nice mild biscuit maltiness. Flavor has citrus and some other under ripe fruits a touch of spice and yeast, and a somewhat dry finish. Light to medium bodied and spritzy. This is the better of the 2 Mischiefs. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - AUG 12, 2009
This beer can’t quite make up it’s mind. IPA or Belgian golden or strong ale. Doesn’t work for me. A little less hops would be better. JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - AUG 2, 2009
On tap at the Bruery. Clear yellow with a white head, nice rounded palate, slightly sweet. I voted for this over Mischief 2 kegbear (436) - Orange, California, USA - AUG 2, 2009
On tap at the Bruery. Beautiful golden yellow with white head. Flavor is yeasty, bread, fruity and some citrus. Liked this one better than Mischief #2. Excellent. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 1, 2009
On tap wet hopped. Pours with a clear sparkling golden body with great lace. Aroma is dry with coriander and light citrus, candi sugar and bready. Taste is spicy and decently dry with light lemons and clove phenols. Dry mouthfeel with tingling carbonation.
