Nose is lemon, lemongrass, very light malt, chouffe yeast character. Flavor follows with a great solid bitterness. A bit of a twang in the finish.

Poured a hazy golden yellow with a big, fluffy two finger head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, yeast, slight esther, and funk. Smells pretty damn good. Taste is light herbal, yeast, light banana and citrus, with a nice spicy bite on the finish. Very crisp and refreshing, high carbonation and a medium body. Reminds me of a Belgian tripel, but a little hopped up, pretty tasty stuff.

A - Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head atop. The head fades down at a fairly slow pace leaving behind some lace. S - Aroma is a mix of Belgian yeast, citrus, floral smells, clove, and a bit of funk. There is also a bit of grass and farmhouse mixed in. T - Starts off with some lemon, citrus hops, and a touch of tartness and grass. Through the middle, some Belgian yeast and a a bit of funk comes through alongside some clove and some floral flavors. The finish is a mix of lemon, citrus hops, Belgian yeast, and some funk. M - Medium bodied with heavy carbonation. Feels smooth with a tart, sweet, and slightly dry finish. D - Very drinkable. Really nice American inspired BSPA. The extra bit of hops really balances nicely with the more traditional Belgian flavors.

3/16/12 - A little too fruity for my taste, hints of apple and citrus. MK felt the same way ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear golden, huge frothy 2 finger head that persists. Lots of carbonation bubbles rising from the center of the glass. Nose is grassy, grain, squash, lemon, yeast and barnyard notes. Light and fluffy on the palate from hefty carbonation. Flavors of herbal hops, grains, lemon citrus, pepper. Tart bitterness and dry finish. Well hidden ABV. Solid hoppy Belgian golden. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Champagne bottle from Whole Foods. Great aroma- mainly citrus, some vanilla and clove. Light straw color, slightly cloudy. Thick persistent head. The predominant flavors were grassy hops and crisp dry malts (rye and wheat). Their description (effervescent, dry, hoppy and crisp) is right on. Overall, I felt the beer was unbalanced- too much crisp, and not enough sweetness or fruit for balance. Interesting, and definitely a quality beer, but I did not enjoy it overall. Could benefit from serving on the warm side.

Bottle to my Duvel glass. Pours clear golden with a big foamy white soapy head that slowly fades and shows some aggressive carbonation. Aroma is grassy grain like with an abundance of earthy dry hops and some slight funk. Taste is bitter and dry with the hops really showing off and the grassy malt and yeast all around. Palate is medium with full carbonation and finishes refreshing and dry. Pretty tasty brew and well balanced.

Poured into a snifter. 4.0 A: Lightly hazed yellow orange color. Three fingers of foamy off-white head. Retention is good and a good portion sticks to the glass. 3.5 S: A dry-ish beer from the Bruery? Has the world gone mad? Dry with earthy and floral hops. Clove spiciness, hay, and light apple fruitiness. 3.0 T: Dry with a mild to moderate hop bitterness. Hay, earthy hops, clove spiciness. Really earthy overall with some slight apple orchard funk. 3.0 M: Lighter medium to medium body. A bit too much carbonation. Lacking any creaminess. This feels a lot like champagne. 2.5 D: Fairly mediocre overall. Too much bitterness and not enough maltiness. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-17-2012 01:03:24

Bottle shared with Tim Duncan. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of pale wheat malts and pear. Lighter side of medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Flavor of pale wheat malts, pear, and spice countered by a moderate bitterness. Dry finish with some belgian phenolics. Pretty straight forward, but too dry for my tastes.
