This is what a hefeweizen would taste like if topped with a carton of Newmans Own Lemonade. There is overwhelming acidity and citrus flavor bouncing off of the brew, and it sometimes feels welcoming and other times a little overstayed. A pint is bound to make you feel like you drank a gallon pureed lemon peel. Decent but not without some reward.

Sample on Day 2 of the Aces & Ales Strong Beer Festival on 08/13/2011. This beer is a mostly clear straw color with a medium fluffy white head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Hoppy, yeasty aroma with a touch of malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, zesty fruit, yeast and malt. The finish is moderately hoppy and leaves a yeast note behind. A little disjointed overall but decent.

750ml bottle into a tulip glass. Purchased fairly fresh. A - Nice copper/amber body and an off white soapy head. S - Lots of hoppy aroma. Grapefruit, orange, pine, bready yeast, and spice. T - Very hoppy. Almost IPA like with some belgian notes. Spice and bready yeast. Lots of sweet citrus and some malt. Slightly bitter finish. O - Pretty good. Reminded me a bit too much of an IPA. I would have liked for the spices to come out a bit more. Worth the price though.

Aroma: Fruity and light a but of apple, ginger and bubblegum. Nice citrus hop presence in the nose Appearance: Pale clear yellow with and enormous pillowy head that lasts and lasts and laces all the way down. Taste: Sweet but light, Hints of banana, apple, pear and a bit of pepper, clove and vanilla on the back end. Palate: effervescent, light soft bubbles, dry crisp. Overall: an incredible summer beer. Tastes like summer, goes down like a summer sunset. Really nice, and refreshing.

Tart nose. Dry with lemon, orange, citrus. Saison like qualities. Much better when enjoyed at warmer temps. Carbonation level is about perfect. Good but not great beer.

On tap @ The Bruery. Cloudy yellow pour with a nice amount of white head. Smells as delicious as it tastes - tropical fruit, honey sweetness, spicy yeast, and herbal hops. Perfectly hopped with a delicious mango finish - some sweetness and spice as well. I love this beer and its Gone Wild bretheren.

This pours a golden color with a huge fluffy head on top. Sharp pear and apple aroma along with yeast, champagne, a vibrant woodsy scent, and some medicinal fumes. The flavors are a bit sweet with a velvety sticky quality coating the palate. Vanilla, herbs, tropical fruit, yeast, lavender... theres a nice template to a good Belgian Gold but its just a little too sticky for my liking and not as easy to consume as it should be with an estery medicinal thing that never really ever goes away. Some crisp spice in the finish but it doesnt dry out. I think it this were a couple of abvs less then I would have liked it more. Still, its not a bad beer at all.

Big offwhite head. Clear yellow body with light carbonation. Earthy musty herbal aroma with spicy floral perfumy notes. Dry-sweet earthy floral musty taste with papery barnyard and spice notes. Light-to-mid body. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dry spicy pine needles and earth aftertaste with perfumy floral barnyard notes. Its nice, but also feels a bit unclean, which makes me uneasy about the flavour. (0.75l bottle, Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

750 ml bottle from Imbibe Wine. Nose is lightly sweet honey, light cloves, floral hoppiness, with hints of bubblegum and pine. Clear yellow with a big pale yellow, heavily lacing head. Flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, with bits of pine, yeast, and light caramel. Finishes with light piney bitterness.
